Yes, i did get a refund (credit note form) but that was almost 2 years ago. KUL to BKK sector. Mind you, they deducted admin fees and this and that and I ended up with less than 100 bucks credit.

They don't allow refunds. You will just have to 'no show'. However, they do allow change of passenger's name.

The hassle is having to call and fax them original and new passenger passport etc. and it's SOOOO difficult to get through.

On my refund (I just recalled the full circumstances!! Sorry, happened 2 summers ago).

Return flights on KUL-BKK sector was booked online some 6 months in advance. Some weeks before the departure date, I discovered that I had to curtail my trip from 3 weeks to 2. So, I went ahead to book another outgoing ticket and with the intention of coming back on the same return ticket booked earler.

Luck was at my side ... A week before my original departure date, I received a text from Air Asia, notifying me that the flight had been cancelled and to get in touch for alternative arrangement. I did ... and they offered me a later flight. I took the opportunity to kick up a fuss and insisted that I must be in BKK by such-and-such a time (earlier flights were full). In the end, I managed to cancel that departure ticket and got a refund. Strange - they did not notice that I was maintaining my BKK-KUL sector .

was at the Air Asia ticket office in Terminal 3 Subang to sort out my group bookings sometime ago, and overheard that you could change the time and destination of your air ticket, with the condition that you pay $80 as admin charges for the changes, and to top up the price difference between the old ticket and the new ticket. And while I was there I have seen at least 2 persons changing their flight plan.

The only problem is that you have to go the Terminal 3 office to do it. I have tried calling them regarding my group bookings and it is almost impossible to reach them, and if i did get through to them it is impossible to get them to do it over the phone as they are busy manning the counter. Anyway good luck !
