You should try out the Pisang Goreng at USJ14.... crispy and delicious. Melt in your mouth ... not in your hand.
The special coating is crispy.... unlike the normal Pisang Goreng.
There is two version... 3 for RM1 or 5 for RM1.... try the 3 ones.
Keledek goreng also nice!
The stall is right across road from Khalifah Restaurant and not the stall outside Khalifah Restaurant!

Been a while since I last went to the area but I recall seeing two goreng pisang stalls there. Hope I'll find the right stall.

There seems to be widespread practice of goreng pisang vendors dripping drinking straws into the boiling oil. Once the straws melt, the wax-like substances stick to the banana & hence the crippiness.
Is this still going on?

The secret to the crispiness is the rice flour. Other than rice flour the other that will give crispiness is the corn flour. Go ask any cook they can tell you that. Wheat flour will not retain it's crispiness for long.

I wanted to buy pisang goreng in Seremban 2 sometime back but what I saw put me off. This seller had a bag of oil (oil still in plastic bag) floating in the hot oil in the kuali. I was too shocked to ask any question but just walked away. Next time I see such a thing, I will definitely ask why they are endangering people's health. This is an eye witness account, not heresay.
Later I received an email that the plastic in oil gives the whatever gorengs crispyness that last even after a few hours.

Aiyo, FF, you do not seem to know what is going on in the streets. But you maybe right but that's not the case in most places

Recently I found the gorent pisang next to the petronas along the USJ 23 area...very crispy and not so oily too....you may go try ; )

Ok..from now on, I am sticking to home fried goreng stuff..be it banana or anything.
