Minimize eating out (at tai chow, kopitiams, fast food outlets, hawkers, etc) and eat from home lah... that'll be a great start for anyone haven't practiced this seriously, although countless other factors may dampen your life expectancy.
BTW, I still use MSG in my cooking...that small little packet lasts me up to a year. I think MSG is added into outside food to the point of abuse...that A problem.

Outside food caterers are using it not just to enhance taste but to mask the taste of not so fresh processed food. And it is very convenient to prepare the food within minutes with the wonder of umami or "sixth sense" tasting sensation of the artificial flavoring of monosodium glutamate.

I seem to presume many people may reference their taste buds to something very tasty from outside home. Obviously outside food likely have flavor enhancers (like kas kas seeds? OPIUM SEEDS as an approved condiment actually?), msg to have that unique and special appeal. Emulate the dish by going back to bare basic ingredients without artificial flavor enhancers and its just not the same..thats the trouble. Of course there's always exceptions to this.
Anyway, I deplore that franchise fried chicken and a particular kandar rice because past experience made me unusually thirsty...not a good thing at all. Among the top in my banned book!

Fancy this - Rm720 for 4 pax as ordered by guests to prep the best for her clients last 2 weeks. Her guests asked " surely no MSG, arh? I have read MSG makes you more thirsty and hungry.
