BTW, my defination of value meals are nutritional value which enrich us with natural vitamins, minerals and proteins.
In Mc Donald, it is nice value where they give you nice value in quantity - like refillable coke - but it comes with unhealthy price tag to your body. One soda consists of equalvalent to 6 teaspoonful of sugar.
There is a difference between nice values and good values

I recall one person who suggested that we should factor approx $2 in extra costs with each hamburger value meal we buy - the $2 being associated with medical costs, environmental costs, social costs, etc.

We do not pay the full cost of everything we buy in the market price.

Can you recall how that guy factor in the extra 2 dollars he paid for each hamburger? Would be interesting to know the extras because things looks cheap turns up to be expensive in the long run like Proton Perdana.
Anyway, health authorities are concerned with fast food that they labeled it with junk food. I havent got the DVD of Supersize Me in which one director or actor literally eat himself for 30 days of hamburgers to seek the effect of junky food.

Well, for a start , I though of just Subang 15 to 19 as I am reasonably familar with the roads. USJ area - by the time it reaches there it may be cold.
just an indecent proposal, looking at the opportunity cost if u deliver yourself, not sure of the roads and losing business opportunities of walk in customers. Maybe u can collaborate with allurban, posting part-time food delivery boy job to college students (during 12-2pm only, offer free healthy lunch and rm1 per order), win-win? It used to be a norm for college student working part time in US, may be here now the students are too rich to work part time...

In US, we are not even talking about college kids but high school kids who are working part time. Guess what, one working as a busboy busting tables and filling water and clearing rubbish came to work in Brand new, top of the line BMW. Asked what the heck does he need a job of a bus boy, he replied the dad only loaned him the car but without any gasoline!
Malaysians kids are too spoilt either by thier parents or by their Indo maids. Most parents see doing restuarant jobs are demeaning. They dont think the basis of earning hard and honest way money is good foundation as to enhance one character and perceptions in life.
In fact, nobody response to the ad in two colleges calling for wait and kitchen staff.
Maybe I advertise wrongly as I posted as Hiring Now Servers and Kitchen Crew.
Paid peanuts and wont get time for dating. Furthermore, you get shouted at by the Chef who thinks Gordon Ramsay is a milder version of him.
But the bonus is if you can survive this school of hard knocks, you can survive anywhere be it in New York restaurant or multinational corporate life.
Why? You learn first hand how to be more professional under pressures, learn about speaking American, impress your girlfriends or future bosses by flambe the steak and knows what is white Zinfadel or Red Zinfadel and Chianti. More improtant , you would be part of the healthy breed who talks about no MSG insde out and probably saves some lives from heart failures and cancer.

Just met a old classmate of mine who is in his mid forties on the street where we did not see each other for at least 20 years. I mentioned whoa, we did change much except he said yeah, except did you noticed the slurred speech? He was diagnosed with stroke and primary heart disorder!
Otherwise, he looked healthy for his weight and height. But beneath that, he was wrecked with stroke that might impaired him for life. luckily, he was treated and on the way to recovery depite the slight disjointed mouth muscles.
Too bad, we couldnt talk longer as I was rushing for my errands. Gave him my card and hopefully he can go to my websites which can direct him to usj.com for healthy information. And the culprit for his condition :- excessive salt and MSG?????

I totally forgotten about your intended visit to Lafite, Shangrila until now, otherwise instead of giving you the Roman Garlic Bread , I would have cook you a croissant with foie gras.
At RM13.80 for the FISH 2 RAP menu, do you think it is better than Lafite, Shangri la?
You should have sat in the Chef Room afterwhich I had another new customer from USJ forum. I believe her friend was having the time of her life Not only she had the best room of the house and ambience, the chef was singing to her.......for taking a full 5 course dinner value package. She said she was a small eater especially for her size. Lies, lies, lies... She finished the last palate!
Anyway, Happy Birthday if her friend is the forumer, too!

    Zinglicious Restaurant

On 7th Oct 2009, there was a last minute decision to celebrate my sis's birthday dinner from USJ to Subang Jaya and Zinglicious came to my mind. I passed by this restaurant every evening on my way home and it seems to be closed quite often ! Never mind, I told my sis, let's check it out as it's nearby my house. I told Alwin I did not make any prior booking but he was kind to accomodate 3 of us. We had the whole restaurant to ourselves, the food was wonderful and wholesome and my sis was accorded 6 star treatment when Alwin brought in her piece of birthdaycake with a special "mini firework" candle and he render his beautiful version of "Happy Birthday" whilst dimming out the lightings to give a romantic atmosphere. When we were sipping our drinks while waiting for Alwin to cook up a storm, I asked my little girl if we can celebrate her coming birthday in November in Zinglicious and her reply? "It is a MUST to celebrate my birthday here ! ". This should speak for Alwin and Zinglicious and he will definitely see more of us.

Many thanks Alwin for making our recent birthday celebration a most memorable one not just the food, service, ambience but one dinner which is full of fun and laughter from a great clown like you !

I am also glad to have met up 2 regulars, Eunice and her son Joe who gave us many feedback on the menu and food served in Zinglicous and we are now friends -Eunice sms me last night to try the Lamb Good Teh but unfortunately I could not make it but will definitely checked it out very soon !

Tupai just lompat back from his trip and requested Lamb Good Teh to replenlish his strenght after surviving typhoon rains and breezy wind. Lamb Good Teh which should be availabled from Thursday onwards and Ling Fish Head from New Zealand being served too.
Plse make reservations for these two dishes, because again there would be limited edition.
Offering Damn Good Teh Tarik to balance the ying and yang when taking these two dishes. If it is not damn good enough to rival the Mamak teh tark, it would be served free. If it is damn good enough to impress the teh tarik kaki, I charge double.
    Anybody up for the bet????

This is the link to the thread of where healthy issue is being discussed where one of the forumer posted to support MSG because he thought it doesnt cause headaches. Plse read throughly the whole articles before you jumped into conclusion like him as the writer of the articles end up throwing his Aji No Motto.
Title of the article from Guardian UK is If MSG is so bad for you, why doesn't everyone in Asia have a headache?http://www.guardian.co.uk/lifeandsty...rink.features3
