    Healthy with no MSG

Sold as Aji No Motto. MSG is regarded as safe for consumption. But many food which contains MSG sold here labeled as permitted food flavoring or enhancer which can be misleading and meaningless especially with coded as E621.

MSG which is Monosodium (MS) Glumate (G) is a combo of salt and protein is not recommended as recomended intake by American Heart Association or American Cancer Society whch consists of leading medical specialists like oncologisst, cardiologists or heart surgeons.

Go to the above websites for clarifications and www.msgtruth.org for more info about MSG which is run by individuals who had left the food industries like Nes tle, Camp Bells, and for complete profite of the websites, you can log onto www.zinglicious.blogspot.com and click the complete profile.

Worldwide organisations like WHO, UK Food Safety Agency. American FDA, Kementian Kesihatan Malaysia, and Penang CAP has health advisory for HEAlLTHY not to consume more than 2400mg salt or 2 teaspoons daily. In the CAP survey in the "How much salt is hidden ion your food", Malaysian has overload their body systems by twice taking K fried chicken. nasi lemak. char key teow, and even by homecooking sauces loaded with excessive salt and MSG.

The point of MSG is safe to be sold for consumption is probably true. but is it healthy to consume especially for the health impaired patients like hypertensions, heart, kidney and renal failure.

Sign of excessive salt is dehydration and thirst .Iinital sensory in our tongue would reject saltiness if the food is too salty. But MSG which can turn poor quality food taste good in 2 minute mee, can alter our inital sensory until it reach our digestive system. Hence, most of us feel thirsty after 10 - 15 mins. This is because the body is signal for the need of water for excessive salt.

One of the better restaurants in Penang is an old one, used to be known as One Dragon Restaurant, now its known as Three Dragon Restaurant. Its more popularly known as "The No MSG Restaurant" amongst locals. It is located along Gottlieb Road, just a simple restaurant with about 7-8 tables only, owner-operated, friendly and the owners can recognize faces and remember names too....

One of the best known dishes (I know I am going to get flamed for this one....) is their sharks fin soup, a simple consomme clear soup type with the slice of sharks fin... nothing else. Very tasty.

Cancer which statistically show the link to the dietary intake of excessive salt intake where Asian paritcularly Chinese and Japanese has the higest incidence of colon in the world.

My eldest brother didnt drink nor smoke. died of colon cancer at age of 41
Dato Sueela Nair whio is the well respectable surgeon in Malaysia concured that the daily diet intake is the probable cause.

From corporate world,I plunged into food business serving food with no MSG and low salt. From Ipoh, though I ran a popular coffeeshop in Canning Garden specialising in Hainanese coffee and typical malaysian western food.I went to US to learn from premier restaurants like Buddakkan,Fredericks and recreated some of the finest recipe which were served to the top celebrities like MR President Clinton, Tom Hanks, Bruce Willis, Martha Stewart and Alicia Keys.

The Star Paper presented 3 star pages under bold heading "Healthy food that is tasty, too".The write up was done by a senoir columist who had a regular column under Shanghai Bund.He is a detailed writer and enquired about how food is done with no MSG where commercial sauces were done with MSG.I had to show him the number of spices I have had in my pantry and how to decode the sauces i bought contained no MSG with my experience from Nestle and being a medical detailer with worldwide pharmaceutical company like Sterling Drug and Aventis. The write up also touched on food hygiene with my association with Philadelphia City Council.I am glad that he didnt come to just sample the food. Incidentally, excessive salt cause water retention in the feet and kidney.
Check with your physician for this medical fact.

I would like to make correction over my last posting where I said I buy the sauces. The sauce mentioned are basically soya, toamto , and chillies sauces.I dont have the time and resources to make it and I discourage customers from taking it anyway.Apart from that, the sauces for my cuisines are made by myself.I pride myself with utmost satisfaction to cook with over 101 menu of American Italian refined cuisines and Malaysian Chinese local delights with no MSG at affordable pricing. Reservations are suggested as most menu are not precooked except nasi lemak. Most of the menu are done with electric oven as to ensure healthier dining. Aprt from steaming, this is the best alternative to frying or broiling with gas.And it is tastier! The down side is longer waiting time.

Glutamate is a protein byproducts from many vege & fruits & even milk lah... tomato got som much glutamate that its used as a base for sauces lah... the sodium thingy added in, makes it salty and hence, its ajinomoto-vse-tsin lah! I think lah...

heheheheh! we dont have aji at home...but i guess breakky, lunch, tea outside would have met my daily aji-quota!

I might just come by yr msg free place for a msg meal...just to see if got any diff or not lah...

MSG from glutamate derived from tomatoes? Maybe you should a start
company producing glutamate instead of envying japanese from stealing recipe from chinese. Either you are posting nonsensical with lots of time and doesnt give a **** about medically and nutritional correct info which might benefit people who wnats more healthy lifestyle.

I am not rich yet no poor enough to be desperate seeking Tupai to patronise my premises.Heck.I dont even advertise my shop since moving here 3 months here and most of my time my shop is not opened unless my customers called for reservations. And I would be happy to even clean the dishes and kitchen to ensure it is throughly clean instead of hiring foreigns help. Not a case of rich or poor, just pure satisfaction of serving nutritious food like what our mothers used to make - with no MSG. In fact, Dato Dr Suseela Nair top Malaysian renowned Surgeon was instrumental for the change of my corporate carrer to dirty pots and pans. And the best of providing info to discerning diners with health compromised conditions means I am contributing to medical well beings.

ANyway, take as much MSG as you like but I am sure healthy concious diner would like natural ingredients in their food that they pay to eat.The info whether MSG is healthy to to be ingest by corpations or concerned
consumers and medical associations who strongly feel that MSG is to be avoided.kindly link to www.cancer.org ,www.heart.org. ,www.msgtruth.org for info. In fact,

And MSG was developed about 100 years and usage was dramatically increased when food industries giants like Nestle and Campbells starts to use this magic powder to increase profitablity by reduce time and cost of preparations.IMHO the amount of MSG is higher in processed food than what is used by Chinese and Japanes Chef.I have the opportunity to work under Master Chef Morimoto (Iron Chef) in his restaurant at Philadelphia to understand real japanese food. Refined food required real product ,patience passions and not chemically produced like MSG. WHy use MSG to mask the taste of inferior food when he is serving the best what money can buy?MSG to Japanese is like MC Donald to Americans.

By chance, I happen to stumble on your comments about ****ting non stop after eating uncooked nasi lemak.Any doctors knows probable cause is due to seafood or unhygeine preapartions. Hard uncooked rice may give you indisgestion mgastric or heartburn. Self medication is not advisable because doctors are trained years to earn their MBBS to make a correct diagnosisor prognosis.

I actually use real tomatoes for my sauces and soups. The ketchup was for patrons requests as condiments. None of my soups are from canned!

My shop is empty most of the time if you view it from the front. That is the 12 seaters chef room you are looking at! If you dont mind to be served with the best menu like triplex lobster, whole black cod fish or scallop bigger than American sizes palm and paid for 10 courses dinner with chef selection. This is the time I can to put my experience and creativity for corporate guests who have no qualms of paying. And you dont get to choose the menu. too!

At the back I have tables for 2's 4's 8's and a unique coummunity tables for 18.All in it can be steated 60 pax. Buffet has had been served for parties and would be opened to the public next month.

Me? sure or not? I am the self-appointed resident clown in this cybercommunity. i wanna laugh at everything lest i die of poisoning of any ingestion kind!

I got no power lah...nobody listen to me..they laugh at me only!

BUT i do apologise for any misgivings...U r a new contributor. U use your nick to promote yr restoran. U promote no msg which is yr shop usp. U r advertising your bizz with no significant or real benefit to the forumers. A debate of the good or bad of COOH(CH2)2CH(NH2)COONa, is of no interest to me. There are msg everywhere...cans, ketchup, sauces, processed meat etcettcetc...One meal witho no msg ain't gonna be preventing me from cancer or heart pulpitation or phlemingcough or chinaman-restoran-sindrom, or whatever the fear-thingy that certain self-serving groups are promoting...

Hey, I didn't say u ah! now i kno u a iron-chef sumore!...me a lover of food and I ain't no fighter, ok?? AND I honestly do wanna patronise your shop (got diskaun ah?)...but u know lah. No see people mean like no food good..a typical blur sotong malaysian blur misconception...if only they knew u got 60pax capacity...also ah? U need dish washer? I got plenty experience lah. Used to work in a 40pax frenchy restoran in west hampstead. No joke ok! dont play play. I washed dishes without rubber gloves even in the dead chills of winter! Hah! And i made sou-chef sumore!

    Au revior!

Yang Boleh cuci pinggang & pot&pans latotupai

Ayam sori ok? Und i wanna u b successful ok..subangjaya lacks good restorans, those with & without ajinomoto! Saves me a blardy jammytrip to Kl all duh time lah!

Tupai, Gandhi is more famous than the maharaja who build taj mahal.Go fiqure
Imagine with your skill to pen your thought and embrace the positive aura to the right direction! You have impressed me already! Impress yourself further.

I am still sturborn to advertise as I do not want to abuse my previllege where I learnt from the very best in the industry. Friends and customers even the landlord have had said why? I even refused to be interviewed initially by the STAR reporter which was refered to me by a corporate customer.I relented when I was told he is very knowledgeable and professional. Even the customer was surprised that he gave 3 pages of write up as he only gave 1 page to a local movie star restaurant photographed with tourism minister over a restaurant. Even the food photographs in my restaurant are taken by 5.5 megapixel myself and served to the customers without special lighting and digital enhancement.

Meanwhile, for any products or sauces. kindly read the label. any flowery statement like permitted flavors or enhancer, E621 or Monosodium Glutamate ,disregard the product if you want to maintain healthy diet. In USA , they make it plain simple enough - MSG- where it is easily understood. They are either govt laws or worse they do not want to be sued for any side effects suffered by the end users.

Fish Sauce label does not says it contains MSG, does that mean it is MSG free ?
