Deepavali date...?

I was browsing through some new (2009) calendars when I noticed that Deepavali falls on Oct 17 in Malaysia and Nov15 in Spore....

Could anyone shed some light on this vast discrepancy..?

hahaha...this had been the issue year after year....we have to wait till closer to the actual time...once they come to a consensus :-)
