Don't know whether this is the same outlet as the one in SS2 selling the Penang Curry mee. If yes, then at least i can get a taste of some genuine penang curry mee..........however i noticed a banner saying its pork free........

if its the same as the ss2 branch, all the more reason not to eat there!!
the curry mee is no longer good. the gravy is sugar sweet..yucks.
Pork-free means you don't get the original taste of the Penang curry mee anymore. There must be phai kuat mah in Penang Curry Mee not to mention some seeham and of course the chi phei (pork skin) and the curdled blood and then the special chilly boh they normally serve in a separate spoon.... alamak, dunno whether the stall at Pulau Tikus hawker center still open at 12.00 midnight.... ok mah, tomorrow Sunday can go swim a few laps more!
if it's the same as the one in ss2, then i can say it's just another overpriced curry mee, i rather travel to OUG Ah loy ...

I have tried this Penang Curry Mee in PJ SS2's branch and found that it was not as good as I expected.
The last time I went to their SS2 restaurant, it was manned by foreign labor, I saw not malaysian workers, perhaps it was cooked by foreign labor too. Taste was very much different....I mean not good at all.
I think it has changed management/owner 1 or 2 years ago. Now the staff are all in uniforms but food quality definately dropped and price increased. Last time their prawn mee also good but not any more.
i ain't going then, 'seratus' or 'dua ratus'.![]()

I find this shop in OUG a little dirty but the laksa, tong sui was good as well when I last ate there eons ago! Those interested may visit Sisters noodles in Bdr Puteri Puchong for curry mee. This is newly opened and they are from SeaPark coffee shop (behind Maybank). They also sell beef noodles and c'ng tong noodles. Price currently is RM5.30 (without promotion is RM5.80). Only if you are in the area, not worth to make special trip though.
If its pork free then not nice liow.....
I always go to the ss2 shop and the one at phileo damansara....always had the thong fun goreng.....always wondered how why it tasted different.
The ss2 lady said they are not the same becos one has lard and the other doesnt....
The ss2 shop is so yummy.....I like the thong fun the best.
