i was @ mng mid valley on 26th dec 08, 5.10pm. when i was browsing @ jeans department, in JUST few minutes,my wallet & new sony ericsson hp being pickpocket.

the scenario was they are few ladies beside and behind me, one is to keep bumping standing on my side and the rest to block others from seeing the partner open up my bag zip

when i report to the mng management, at first i asked the manager to check the cctv is working, she went into the room and came out to confirm it's on. so, she promised to let me view on tuesday, 30th dec, when the other manager is back to work.

the next day i called up again, to confirm the cctv working, the lady say the management back up the video for 2 weeks, dt worry.

tuesday, 30th afternoon call me say the cctv is down for that day and i cant view the scene anymore and they cant do anything !!

wat a bull****...pls ban this outlet

THE BEST PART IS WHEN I MAKE POLICE REPORT @ MID VALLEY POLICE STATION ON THAT DAY,ANOTHER LADY FROM MELAKA IS MAKING A REPORT, ALSO BEING PICK POCKET HANDBAG BAG BEING CUT OPEN @ MNG AROUND 5pm....

the police say that it's a chinese ladies syndicate which they label as nyonya syndicate lingering at few main shop especially mng

I am sorry to hear about your very unpleasant experience.

MNG will give all kind of excuse so as to wash their hands clean. If they ever capture the scene, they will have their name dragged into court should their video shot incriminate the accused. They just don't want to be dragged into this negative thing. Why not this time go to MNG and shoplift their dress and I bet they will have you on film clear enough to make a movie!

Firstly, I sympathise with the victim. I'd be traumatised if it happened to me or members of my family

However, it is not right to put the blame on the retail outlet
I can tell you, as this thread progresses, the name of the outlet may be smeared
Please restrain yourself from redirecting your anger to a third party

Isarahim ... "might" isn't going to help. People conveniently miss specific words and the next thing you know someone will say there is evidence that this is an inside job.

I am locking this thread up the moment someone puts the Forum in the position of being sued for liable

Umm... setuju lah...however, i think this can be split into 2 parts:

1. That MNG was repeatedly unable to provide the CCTV sequences, despite having signs stating CCTV surveillance, is factual, and should rightly be highlighted.

2. That MNG or staff within MNG are part of the plot is mere speculation and should not have been mentioned. My apologies.
