    Astro View

Folks, just want to remind you. Since they reformatted the AstroView magazine, we were given free subscribtion till Feb 2009. This means they will charge us for the programme magazine after that at RM4.80 per copy. So, if you are like me and DONT agree to paying for this magazine, dont forget to terminate the free sub after Feb 09, otherwise they will be billing you for it.

Keep us updated on how to unsubscribe. I certainly will unsubscribe.
In fact, If I can opt NOT to have the mag to reduce the monthly fee, I'd go for it right now.

Just call their customer service line and unsubscribe.

I didn't subscribe to their magazine as I think they should have put it onto their website in the first place.

What is the point of subscribing to Astro. They charge a lot for their crap programs. Now on top of that, they want to charge some more for a guide to their crap programs?

Yes, your right. That's why I've never subscribed to Asstro.

That's why they made astro a monopoly. If there were true competition, astro will be lowering their prices now.

It happened with maxis in the past where they charge exorbitant fees, but after competition with digi, their rates are lower.

I went to their website and wrote in. If no response within the next few days, I plan to call their customer service. Tel number is in the magazine.

I think its really immoral. We pay to subscribe to Astro, and we still have to pay to know what programme there is to watch. I think it is their obligation to tell us what programmes there are available. Fortunately, I subscribe to the minimum package. I need the news, the sports and documentaries, that's all.

ASTRO should be making money from the advertisements featured in the program magazine, not charging their customers for them.

They should view the program magazine as a service to their customers and at least ensure that they can breakeven the cost of printing and distributing the programs through their advertisement revenues.

Otherwise, provide an alternative like PLUS i.e. maintain na user-friendly accessible website for their subscribers.

All customers should not only boycott the charges to be imposed on the program magazine by unsubscribing it but also demand the right to a program list in a website.

Not in Klang, but I know people who have done such an installations in Pahang and Tapah. Apparently, you have a choice of either English or Chinese programs. Watch till you drop. One time payment.
