    Ip Man

It was kicka*s! THE BEST Kung-fu film of 2008. There was a touching moment at the end when Bruce Lee's picture appeared. Almost brought a tear to my eye. If there's one kung-fu movie you have to watch this year, this is it.

it is a very good movie. The kungfu action is very good. I only find it kind of weird when Donnie Yen are portrayed as the soft spoken Ip Man. Normally he is those very aggressive type.

well a sequel has been announced where bruce lee character will be featured among others ... so more kick ass action for kung fu afficiondos..

one thing i have to mentioned is in the footnotes at the end of the movie, just before the credits come on.. it says China finally triumphs over the Japanese or something to the effect.. it was so hillarious.. didnt' know it was a comedy too..

That's because Ip Man in real life was soft spoken and Donnie wanted to portray him exactly like he was. Soft spoken but when he fought, it was fast and furious.

Initially I had wanted to wait for the DVD but having seen the trailers on youtube, I could not 'tahan' any longer and went to watch it in the cinema. And, WOW! It was good. Pretty damn good.

    Thumbs up

Went for the 2.15pm show. My daughter was reluctant to follow at first. After the show she was glad she went. Kungfu show worth watching.
