    My daughter and her husband (white Aussie) will be back for CNY so we are taking them back to Taiping and Bk Mertajam to meet relatives and to celebrate re-union dinner.

    BTW, when is the best time to leave for the highway on that Saturday? Do you think it will jam at 7 am?

    Try starting your journey at 6am on saturday and have your breakfast on your way.....

    I guess I will do that.... Kids can sleep in the car... quiet for a while

    Hope to finish some books, sleep, eat and rest at my mom's place and bring along my gameboy....

    I remember my CNY 2007. Drive to Bidor (normally 1.5 hours) took us 5 hours! Since this year's CNY falls on Monday.... I think the traffic would be quite bad. Best advice is to leave on Friday.

    The 3 lane highway is fully completed till slim river and hopefully that would spread the northbound traffic evenly.

    The nightmare would be at Ipoh south and north toll .......god bless....

    Hmmm....the driver has to stay awake in order for everyone to have their breakfast otherwise, it can be messy. Gotta to have a collective discussion and decision about the 6 am thing but it is a good idea. Actually if we start that early, breakfast on the way is not necessary as I can reach Taiping in 2.5 hrs if there are no jam. But with Ops Sikap around, I guess, it is better to take 3 hrs to reach. Less pain on the pockets especially with so many ang pows to give out.

    BTW, we went to Maybank to change new notes and were informed that they only do that in the morning until 11.30 am only. So, Maybank customers, be informed.

    Done my notes changing during Hari Raya time since I dont go to bank anymore with M2U, other than collecting cheque books every few months. Doubt they will change for me.

    A big cuppa of Kopi-O kaukau and a flask full will cure sleepiness. I exit my house about 6.30 daily so wont be a problem. Breakfast at R&R....

    AHaha....how did i missed that word?

    Anyway I think I'll stay home and be goody good daughter till the 2nd day of CNY and will drive down to JB to meet up with my partner.
