I have heard of Robert Lam but since his centre is in KL central, we hadn't had the opportunity to expose our children to his methods. However, closer to home, there is one English tuition centre which does precisely that and I can tell you, that place is packed with students. It is obvious that the kids are enjoying themselves and the parents obviously see the results. My point is this, it is not something new. Perhaps the "grammar school" concept is now passe

mammoth: Thanks for the suggestion! Will keep in mind along with others after I begin the first class and see how it goes.

kwchang: Are you referring to The English House?

I think Robert Lam is retired from teaching. I gathered that from him when I bumped into him with a brief chittchatty.
Anyway.. I APPLAUD your objective.. Yes!..your efforts are not a waste. Good luck and my best wishes!.

bslee: Thank you for the vote of confidence! This is my first time doing community service, so I'm foreseeing some hiccups along the way, which I hope to iron out once I get the hang of things.

Oh! I didn't know they shifted to that place. Then lucky me for having been born earlier when they were in SJ. :P

there is no such thing as a free lunch

I think there is a great need but to do for free, I am cynical, what is the catch?

Thank you. I wish that all the thumbs-up I received could be transformed into more students, though.
