    Wisdom tooth: irritating

I am having one, lower jaw, though I am also having the upper jaw one but it seldom give me any problem.
On some of the day, the wisdom teeth will be like squeezing and putting a lot of preasure towards the rest of the teeth, feel so uncomfortable. I've tried to drink lotsa herbs drink to cool my body down.
So, any good remedy? I know the best is to have it extracted, izzit very painful?

    Looks like a wise decision

"... I've tried to drink lotsa herbs drink to cool my body down..."

Not so wise a decision. Wassap sweetened/bitterised drink gonna do to a chunk of enamel? Drown it??

Sori ah, cant help it lah...But The wisest decision is to go see a dentish...My dentist in SS3 is a good guy. A biker too

I think it's best to have a dentist to check it out. I always go to Klinik Pergigian Taipan for all dental problems. They ( a husband-and wife team) give wondeful service, and the prices are reasonable too.

a few years back, i took out all four of my wisdom tooths, was out of action for abt 1 week. it is nasty but a good decision to do it.

both my tooth on the lower jaw grew inside my gums sideway, while my upper tooth was ok.

it was very irritating - makan softfood for 1 week.

Don't delay your visit to dentist

Sure some pain killer and a mouthwash can give you some relief at times, but this is only a temporary measure. With Wisdom teeth that get impacted, you got to get them out sooner or later, the sooner the better.

The pressure you feel is coming from the tooth trying to erupt, but there is insufficient space in your jaw so it pushes on the adjacent teeth. The pain could be coming from the force of this pressure or a possible decay/gum infection in that area.

Go visit a dentist and seek advise. And if you want to know more follow this link -

My daughter had 2 wisdom teeth causing problems (one in upper and another in lower jaw impacting on front teeth). The pain killers are only temporary relief. The wisdom teeth are actually growing and pushing against the front teeth..hence the pain. My daughter had both yanked out. No choice rather than having major surgery later. Fact of life.

It depends on which dentist you go to. I have had all 4 wisdom teeth removed, 2 normal extraction and 2 surgically removed because it was impacted. (Not all at one go lah! 2 at a time)
I've heard many horror stories, bengkak and cannot eat for 1 week. For me, on the very same day I ate maggie mee, and by the next day, I could eat normal food (but must chew slowly). The pain was bearable on the first day and very minimal by the second. By third day, no pain and no bengkak.
The dentist gave me an oral sedative before the surgery, so I don't remember anything. The place I went to is quite expensive, but worth every penny, because I felt no pain and minimal discomfort.

I also need to find out about a good quality dental surgeon, ideally around USJ or SJ but I can go to KL if needed.

My dentist in Canada keeps on chasing me to have my wisdom teeth removed. Says that a specialist might be required too...because I have "large sinus cavities" and the roots of some of the teeth are too close to the cavity...

    Scary stuff

    Cheers, m

I have my wisdom tooth surgically removed as well. It was at the back of lower jaw grew inside my gum sideway as well like gtl . The process is not scary or painful but you will feel the pain after the surgery. The reason to remove it once and for all is due to it always give me problems(worse than a tooth ache !) especially when my body is heaty. The normal dentist that I went for check up refuse to do it for me as he said this need to be done by a specialist & he did recommend one for me. He is quite professional & no complaint about him. If u are interested, his clinic is at the same row with King Crab which is opposite the Kelana Jaya LRT station. Sorry I don't have his contact right now, I think his name has a "Fook". The charges is about RM 650-700 for 1 teeth 3-4 years ago. Take care.

Try Lee Dental at Taipan, opposite Berrys Cake Shop. Doc name is Dennis, young, friendly and always ask u if you are ok during the treatment. Never force extraction if cannot. My 7 yr old daugther had her milk tooth removed by him and never complained. If even a kid is ok with him, no reason for an adult to complain. I had my 2 wisdom teeth removed by him. Charges reasonable.

It is a small operation with strong pain killer, better to get it done asap. Don't wait until the migrain-like headache attack.

BTK,I just found out that my 6 years old son has a new teeth grew behind its old teeth (milk tooth?) in the front lower jaw. Does that mean the dentist is going to remove his milk tooth? Is this Doc Dennis good? I was about to post a thread to ask for a recommendation for a child dentist. TQ.
