What brand of built-in oven is good?

I'm looking around to get a good built-in oven.
1. What brand is worth considering?
2. Is the traditional or digital type better?
3. Any features that I should look out for?

Try some of the review sites eg here which I did lots of research before buying my dishwasher.

I use the oven on daily basis. If the cook has back problems, it's best to avoid very low oven that seats on the floor. I have used both and prefers the ones that are built-in high above leg height which you do not need to bend or arch your back when checking on the meat. Because my oven was so solidly built, I'm able to even placed a heavy dish of hot roast on the oven door to check if its cooked without having to move it over to the kitchen bench top. Hope this helps.

Btw, its really hard to predict the life spand on an expensive oven. Sometimes it depends on your luck, an oven may last you over 20years or 6 years. So its vital the retail shop or manufacturer provides good after sale service if the oven breaks down within the warranty period. Go for reputable brand ... I'm not sure if your area sells Bosch, Miele or Asko. They are all very good European products (very water and energy efficent). Esp Bosch and Miele has been in the home appliances for over 30- 40 years but be prepared to pay top $$$$.

Thanks for both's reply. I have been checking around and was at Harvey Norman MV the other day. They recommended Electrolux the highest end that cost over RM3k over Fagor and some other brands that they carry. I was also being recommended by my local electrical shop either Ariston or Indesit. I am likely to get the Electrolux and have it build in above the higher deck so I don't have to bend as suggested. Any one has any experience or any comments on these 4 brands before I buy? Thanks

I'm using Indesit ... so far so good. They bought and own Ariston, however, their products are positioned below Ariston. Kinda like Proton owning Lotus. You can't go wrong with Electrolux, or Ariston. My parent's Ariston oven has lasted reliable for more than 25 years. I'd stay away from Fagor - friends had bad experience with them, and electrical shops are very pushy about Fagor ... usually means higher margins from selling Fagor.

For the price and features, Indesit was a no brainer for me. They only have about 3 models - I chose the one with the digital display.

Electrolux is nice, but $$. Ariston even nicer, but even more $$$. Seeing that its not something I would use daily ... made sense to go with an Indesit.

I also ordered an Electrolux but have no experience with them yet. My parents own an Ariston which lasted them almost 20 years.

I used my friend's Fagor once, am disappointed with the results. When I told the sales person, they told me all ovens are like that. Which I disagree, cos I have used my parents oven for so many years and never encounter that kind of issues.
