Didn't God say that He helps those who help themselves? We cannot serah everything to the Almighty and expect manna to fall from the sky. The only things that fall from the sky are construction debris, the rain, an asteroid or two or some meteorites. I met an worker at the Lake Club yesterday evening and talked to him. His mother just passed away in Terengganu and he had to take a bus with his family to arrange for a proper muslim burial. He had just spent about RM1000 to move into his new DBKL flat. Now he has to spend more money for the burial rites. He owes the bus sekolah company two months' fees for his three school-going children and the bus company is not taking his three children to school anymore. His megre pay of RM600 a month hardly sees him through the month. He has been borrowing money and friends cannot give him any more loans as they are also suffering. If you look to the tennis court area, there are people who are happily playing tennis and can afford the membershipship fees for this club. Kind of a wierd constrast of fortunes.
People should have voted out the BN years ago so that all the super and mega projects never got off the ground and the savings were used to help the people. Did the Twin Towers, KL Tower, and Putrajaya help to fill our stomachs? Agricultural projects were abandoned for more lucrative industralization initiatives so that some people can make more money. The Multimedia Supercorridor is a joke. Where are all the silicon-valley type companies? Go to the area and you can see it's not what it was hyped to be. Now Pak Lah wants to have more corridors. More opportunities to make more money for well connected people. Where are the programs to help the hard-core poor? We inherit over the years monopolised companies, chronic corruption and abuses of power which milk us dry..and force us to pay and pay. Solly..venting frustration.![]()

Very interesting blog, Carol. May God bless and shower you with all happiness and wishes that you pray for. Always remember there is someone out there who is suffering more than us. Have a blessed day.
