The value of the USD is measured using the USD Index. The USD index measures the performance of the US Dollar against a basket of currencies. As you can see there, the current index is 71.98

It is speculated that the value has to drop to 50 before it will stabilize, a drop of 30%. This has been a major cause of inflation. If our ringgit follows accordingly, we will suffer the same quantum of inflation.
As the USD and RM drops, gold will go up, sometime at a higher rate.
Watch gold price here to see how it can protect us against inflation.
