Maxis High-Handed Policy
Maxis recently introduce a policy where the users cannot transfer their existing line to a *"new user" if the mobile number falls into the "Golden number" category. The transfer is ONLY allowed if a) sign a 2 years contract b) minimum commitment per mth 250 or 500 with no roll over. There is NO other alternatives/option. Either u accept it or dont transfer or they take back the number. It happen to my friend. He own the number for 10 yrs now he left his company n they allowed him to t/fer the line to his personal name. since he cannot meet the high commitment demanded by Maxis, he has no choice but to surrender the number. He was so angry he terminated all his family Maxis line, he will advise his co. to do so (since he is a director of the PLC) and all his business associates. As a Maxis user(layman) how the HELL do we know their "Golden " number policy. My advise do not anything until MNP(mobile number portability) Q3 all of us move to digi or celcom.
* "new user" could mean the same user ie transfer from co. line to personal or vice versa.
