Though there are provisions in the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998 that say there is no censorship of the Internet, the fact is, Internet does not operate in a legal vacuum in Malaysia.
So, before you start leaving your comments in this Forum, bear in mind that whatever is illegal offline is illegal online in this country.
In other words, and I quote the advisory from the Communications and Multimedia Content Forum Complaints Bureau, "Any comments posted on this blog that are obscene, blasphemous, racial or overtly threatening, including the use of partial words or phrases where the intent is clearly offensive, will be removed immediately by the host. Such comment could also render the person posting them liable to legalaction or prosecution."
If you break the law, you face the music. The Forum owner, administrators and moderators has nothing to do with your foolish deeds, if any. It is humanly impossible to keep track of each and every members' comments in this Forum. Please exert self-regulation when you post your comments.
There are times when the administrators/moderators travel out of town and become totally cut-off from Internet. During these times, if any readers out there sense someone trying to post any offensive and unlawful comments, please blow the whistle by making your "citizen reprimand" in the same thread -- that will create a record to satisfy the authorities, and to provide no grounds for anyone to intentionally or unintentionally sabotage this forum
