    Orthopedic Surgeon

Would appreciate greatly if any forumers can recommend a good orthopedic surgeon in SJMC, UH/GH or any other hospitals for purpose of knee cap replacement surgery. May PM me if necessary. Thanks in advance.

DAto Charles from Sunway and Subang

or if you can afford Dr Soh. He has a center at Damansara and most of the time he will be at Gleaneagles. He is Malaysia number 1 orthopedic surgeon...is very very expensive

Dr Suresh George from Sunway was my son's surgeon, I have no complaints with services. Waiting time is very short if you have made an appointment, he is usually very precise and clear in his explanations.

Dr Soh is a specialist in sports injury...is very much seeked after by most of Msian Sports Council. If you have insurance, it should be reasonable to get the coverage. At one time, he was pioneer in scope surgery in Msia, else Spore was the nect option. But nowadays many local doctors to perform similar surgery. But then again, experience counts.

If you have accommodation in Melaka, try Mahkota Medical Center. My experience with them was good. More importantly, the fee is in the range of 60-70% compare to if you do it in SJ.

Yuip...Dr Haizan was assisting Dr Suresh while doing scoping for my knee injury. Even Dr Suresh recommend him to me while he was away for holiday.

I am still following up with Dr Suresh for my knee...my experience with him is great... but the physio at Sunway really sucks..

go there for physio, just leave me there to do excersie. even the excersie i can do in the room. only after i make some noise, they put me on muscle strengten machine. supposingly, they need to put me on PCM machine but they do not do it. then they want me to bend my leg by myself to achive certain degree...they like forcing me, once reach it, then thats it...ask me to try myself...after i discharge from the hospital...i tell the doctor i do not want the sunway physio..

i went to my physio..immediately they put me on a few machine, then the physio massage my leg to strengten the muscle..and after 2 week, i can walk slowly already...

baseline is i just do not like the way that sunway physio work.

    Many Thanks Chewie....Puchong, no problem.

What's a few ringgit of toll when I get to eat my favourite NK and lose the calories the same time at the physio.

and the money you pay there actually goes to a charity fund...after minus their admin cost and other cost... just rm35 per session.. no matter you are 3 or 4 hours inside there....

back to johndee.... remember...always get a second opinion...bring along your MRI scan to those doctor and you yourselves evaluate the options...

maybe some physio session could save you from operating your knee..
