    Thumbs up CW Auto

    Would recommend you this one:

    CW Auto
    Boss: Mr Chia
    Tel: 56331578
Location: In front of Goodyear Court 3, next to Metro Bus Office.

Workshop is very simple, nothing posh. But important, the boss is very honest.

Do mention you are from usj.com.

    Regards.

Thanks a mile for the info. Very convenient then, go into the workshop for engine tuneup and then transfer next door to put on makeup.....

I guess I'll give my car a few extra months to accumulate more scratches and dents before sending it in....just in time for CNY.

Let me relate my own experience on this workshop. Previously, I had followed Patrick's recommendation to send all my cars to CW Auto. Saying you are from usj.com does not make you any thing special. Initially, my repair costs seemed reasonable but over time I realised it is just the same else where if not more. Your request for some kind of discounts would go no where. Overall, I had spent more than RM2,000 in this workshop. In one instant I had to go back twice even after spending more than RM700 and today the lubricant oil is still leaking. For the third time, the boss insisted that my other engine parts had to be changed quoting another RM300++ to get it done. As for me, I had decided not go there any more but still hunting around for better one, if there is any.

I know that CW Auto is recommanded by this forum as stated the 2001 thingy , but hope more people can voice out bad or goodness on this workshop so that be aware of it , btw do CW AUTO allow us to bring our own engine oil & oil filter ,spark plug and maybe other service item ???

Autochild....in Glenmarie, Shah alam is a very professional workshop from what I heard, but their professional labour price (can fight with Service Centre), reasonable parts (meants is not cheap but just selling according S.R.P.) ,and the distance (Extra petrol extra cost) has stop me from going .

My ride is Toyota Corolla SEG AE111 1.6 (96/97 version) .

I repaired (ketuk and spray) my 2 cars from the workshop, just behind this one. Cheaper.

I stay in USJ but i send my car to a workshop near happy garden.

I bring my own syn oil , plucks, filter and whatever and he will just charge me workmanship. The sifu is honest and will adv me not to change this and that becos i follow the std routine changes.

If u are willing to drive a bit further then, that place is ok.

Why dont you send back to Toyota for a better and reliable service? Some place is just 1 day appointment.

I had tried many workshop in usj/sj and I am now feed up with them... Every time I send my former Daihatsu car of 4 y.o sure got some thing wrong and something have to be replaced. Usually a few hundred RM gone!

They even have the balls to ask me to put nitrogen gas into my tyre... like I am driving a ferari... its just a waste of money!

may be some of the car sifu here can help me out.. I went to the workshop ( cum developer in subang jaya) to have alignment done on my car wheels. the young mechanic claims that my car camber need adjustment, and it is RM35 per side.

My question is ` is this camber adjustment a con thing ? ' coz initially he says i don't have camber nut fixed on the car, but when i told him i have got it fixed the last time he change the story and now say the camber nut need adjustment ! from my observation, he was down there for a short moment only and i dont see him adjusting anything at all, and it is all over in a few minutes, i have a strong feeleing i have been had.

Guys anyone can tell me where is this camber nut located and whether it cost RM70 to adjust both side of the wheel if at all it needed adjustment ? is this a standard trick for workshop to get extra income ?

for camber adjustment ,it will required a camber machine to lift ur car up and then plug a portable eletronic unit on ur tyre ,then the machine will show some number ,to see its -3.0 or -1.7 or +2.8 or what ever number , usually they will adjust back to between +0.5 to -0.5 , and usually the charges is RM15-RM20 per tyre , if is RM70 for whole car is still acceptable I guess .

And camber seldom need to adjust except ur absorber changed or ur suspension is really weak (change Absorber + Spring to keep it good) ,but for my Toyota Corolla AE111 ,mine seldom need to adjust (I every year check, and its always somethings like from -0.1 drop till -0.2 after 1 year) ,I only adjust it when I change absorber

Where u did ur alignment? and how much it cost u ?
