    Higher pay, better life abroad

I believe it's not just among accountants. We are starting to loose lots of technical expertise (engineers especially), academician, and even labourers.

    What will happen next?

Just went and checked with EPF this afternoon. To qualify withdrawing entire amount, you need to show proof from JPN that you have given up your citizenship. Payment in a months time.

isarahim pointed out a great suggestion. If we old cocks don't qualify to live abroard..or for whatever reason, plan, educate and prepare your kids to go abroad, make a life there and never to look back. This is a place of no return to what its thought or intended to be. Wawasan 2020 is NOT for us to relish when there's flers waving keris's at your face!. A blatant show of no compassion at all.
I've already 2 nieces and a nephew from same brother's family, working and living across the causeway doing VERY WELL!)..you'd think they ever want to work here again?..obviously not!..yes.. 2 of them accountant..financial line..whatever..

The reason to migrate is not solely on political grounds. Uneducated politicians can go on demonstrating thier capabilities, if they have any. Most ppl who left made their decisions with their kids in mind, their future and the future of this country. If you can spare that little cash, pls, by all means, save, invest and grow that dollar so that you can send your tots abroad.

Even bumis, some that I have come to know have started to talk about migration. Some sending them overeas for primary and secondary education. To know which high school is worth looking at, we have to ask some of the ministers. Their children are enrolled there............

You know..a story true or not told to me by a now retired school teacher..
There's "rich and perhaps influential flers" will take FULL ADVANTAGE of gahmen scholarships, loans or benefits to get their children to higher education without paying a sen!. They alter some info within the application like: Guardian/parent = grandfather at kampung, pekerjaan = berpencen.
Like that..(with tutup mata).. APPROVED!.. and so goes forward with the education all paid for.. and deprive other eligible students who really need financial assistance to obtain better education elsewhere.
This is a country full of individuals practicing foul tactics, deceit and very opportunistic values..make hay whilst there's sun..grab while its still hot!
No more the days of ethics, honesty, principles and so on.. To each his own to prosper.. survival comes 1st!...Why do you think cue-cutting anywhere is so rampant..another trivial matter? I leave this as food for thought!.

    Angry

Here we go, again...and again...and again...

Talk about flogging a broken-down horse......

If you want to migrate, go migrate. Pull up the stakes, sell the house, and go. Why make a song and dance about it, unless you want people to applaud your unflinching commitment in seeking a better life for you and your family, and to shed tears at the sheer unfairness of it all that forces Malaysians to be vagabond gypsies?

Or maybe it's an exhibitionist streak manifesting itself, like saying that you pity all the poor dumb ***** condemned to rot in a hell not of their making?

US fresh grad in engineering, average USD50,000 a year. But this is hardly enough to live on in the US., especially in the mid-West.
