woman robbed in ss15 after withdrawing money in Taipan

it happen today, we saw a tow truck towing away a car behide our office around 2.30pm in subang square business centre, infront of ss15 secret recipe restaurant. the car was badly smashed the front screen and the side screen both got smashed up badly. we ask the shop people what exactly happen, they say it happen just a while ago, an indian lady with her son in car got robbed. they say, there were four malay guys, smartly dress driving a nice car (nicer than the person being robbed), been following this ladies since after she withdrew her money in Taipan they say the amount was rm50 thousand. after she withdrew she drive straight to ss15 and just started to park in her car in a car park lot. once she stop the car this few guys ran out form their car and smash her wind screen and took away the money. she was inside the car with shocked and she shouted. the shop people came out and the robber already got into their car and drove off. the other shop people called the police later. this lady got a few bruises on her head. but thank God nothing happen to her. in my shocked and surprise was, people can just robbed in bright day light and infront of so many people in such a busy road and place. we also heard the robber not even cover their face. so daring. what a cruel and wicked world. sad

    I don't understand.

Why she withdrew such a big sum of cash? Isn't there such thing as CHEQUE?

Why she went to a public place after withdrawing such a big amount of cash? shouldn't she go straight back home?

With such a big sum of money, why didn't she get a few adult male escort (just called a few trusted friends or relative or her hubby)?

Of course, it is easier to ask why after something bad had happened. But, why nobody in the world now care about prevention??

Accidents can happen of course, but if you take enough precaution, you are likely to avoid it or minimized the chance of it from happening.

I saw people smoking happily away who will tell you: "die, die lor, nobody can live forever". But it is not easy as 1+1=2 like that. One person that I knew of, only 35 years-old has to have his left leg chopped off by the doctor due to blood vein constriction caused by heavy smoking (30 sticks a day). He did not die, but have to live another 35 years with only one leg.

I stilll see ladies walking by the wrong sides of the road with handbag strapping across their shoulders.. Guess what can happen??

Still a few days ago, newspaper reported someone let the engine-running and a sleeping child in the car and went into a store (Giant, I think) to buy something. What actually can happen?? It happened!! Someone else drove his car (with the child) away..

In a nutshell, why so many people not care about taking precautions nowaday??

Questions raised... how did these four fellas know she had withdrawn so much CASH...was there a spotter hanging around inside the bank? was it inside information? and like what atom has said, why so "do-do" - carry so much cash... never heard of bankers cheque meh...

Sometimes when I have to handle a lot of cash, I make it a point to monitor my surroundings and to monitor the tellers themselves... you can never tell, cos they would be the FIRST person that knows you are withdrawing CASH!

Yup, that's what I'd do. It's crazy to carry huge amounts of cash on me while I'm out there on the road. Simply unthinkable.
It's better to be poor than to be rich. The rich always have to fear becoming poor, but the poor never have to fear becoming rich.

Hello Orchi ... what happened to you... you seem to highlight this on purpose.. almost all threads also has this phrase. Well, how can we blame the PDRM when she never even take care of herself... how can you depend somebody for your safety.. you shld hv take your own precaution in the first place - in this case, go together with few people since she is cashing out so much money.... or like what other forumers suggested - ask bank to give bankers chq or what so ever....

Let's hope they are safe ... whatever is lost is lost...

What a foolish lady.... dont know whether this is the same smartly dressed gang that robbed a womans BMW with parangs in front of her house in SS 14 early morning last Sunday when she returned from the market at SS 15.
They apparently followed her home with a flashy car too.

Obviously the police cant do anything abt it there are to many crimes to investigate and they wouldnt careless for the rich i suppose.

i agreed, how they know she withdrawn so much in the first place. is there any inside information? That will be the big question mark ????

if people that hanging around inside the bank, i dun tink dey so well prepare and so well equipp with all the screen breaking tools and they would have been very experienced cause it all happen a split seconds....
