Subang Jaya Millennium Park down with Y2K bug

I think the stalemate here could be the operator expects MPSJ to make good the Park and then hand over to them in a silver platter. I also suspect the contract terms may not be clear enough defining whose responsibilties is this. As usual like what our PM has said -we are not good at negociating. Like buying old planes that crashes now and then, build highway that cracks, negociating a bridge and end up with nothing and paying for eyes that can close only one.

Restaurant gets three more months to move

It looks like our Subang Jaya Millennium Park suffered from the Y2K bug shortly after it was completed in 2001. The RM3mil Millennium Park is a sheer waste of public money. The Big Bird have flown away last month and no one knows what is cooking behind those hoardings. And why is MPSJ giving the operator another 3 months extension when they couldn’t come up with anything during the last 6 years when they were given the opportunity to do so. And anyway what are they coming up with next? A White Elephant Park?

    Feasibility Studies

In MAJOR construction projects, there is something called Feasibility Study. This is to study if the project is viable.

I wonder if this Feasibilty Study is protected under OSA ?

If it is, then there is no point asking for it.

If operator comes up with a letter from Pak Lah, what can MPSJ do? If Pak Lah or his office did write a letter to support the operator, the question is why should he or his office deal with a local issue??? Pak Lah should worry about bigger things in life like running a country.

pc - I do like the title....Y2K bug.

Given 6 years to move in and yet cannot even move in.

No wonder so many things are slow in Malaysia. Inilah dipanggil efficiency ! (this is called efficiency)

Like what Rocky says, he has a letter from the Prime Minister himself so I bet after the 3 months is up, another 3 more months or 3 more years? And the RM 3 million park in the meantime is being bulldozed scaring the big bird away which has been a protected specie for the last 6 years. Don't know what happened to the poor bird. Will try to take some photo of the place and asked around some of Big Bird's friends what happen to Big Bird. We missed him. By the way who is tearing up the place?

Hey PC, is that the birdie we were talking about some time back? Cheh, so ugly, looks more like a duck. Thought it was something like the 'eagle in full flight' at the pier approaching Pulau Langkawi....
