    panasonic ceilling fans not reliable

i am dissapointed with the current ceiling fan by panasonic, bought a few units recently and after a few months i am hearing noise and one of them the speed is default to low speed and cannot remote control them...wondering if it's under warranty as i can't find the warranty card.
anyone has encountered the same problem?.

I bought a hse recently. Fitted with Euro Uno ceiling fan with 3 speed mode. Nightmare starts with the lowest speed. U will hear some irritating sound and this disturb yr sleep all nite long. For those who wants cheap and fancy fan, pls think twice. KDK and Panasonic still the best. Probably what happen to yours could be an isolated case. Go back to the dealer for warranty claim.

IMHO, Panasonic products although made here, I'd give them due credit for well made quality products MOST of the time surpassing any of the local brands (especially one that sort of "misspell" the name slightly") which unlikely give 2 hoots about customer complaints.

Here's the Panasonic Customer care details page. Give them a call and see if they can resolve the problem.

NB. I'm not their employee nor associated with them in ANY manner..
    Good luck!.

i've installed 5 panasonic fans 2 months ago, they are still working fine. Not sure if it'll give the same problem 1 year later. But according to the electrician, Panasonic fans seldom have problems & many of my friends are using it.

Must be the electronic type (the more expensive ones the poster had purchased).
Electronics being electronics can kaput anytime. Best bet to get Panasonic themselves to rectify the problem..no 2 ways..as ori spares are obtainable from them directly, evethough through their dealer chain.

Either brand should be OK. I have tried other brands and regretted it.

BTW, I am looking for an electronic fan but with a lamp at its base. I am not refering to decorative fans where the lamps come down another one foot. My ceiling is too short for that. I have seen one in Singapore where the base or center is a lamp. Anyone knows where I can find one? Panasonic or KDK will be better.

I have always considered Panasonic (and hence other Japanese brands) electrical products that were made in Malaysia to be top quality. A few years ago, when we were shopping for air-conds., we declined to buy Panasonic because they were no longer made in Malaysia. Went for another Japanese brand that was made in Malaysia.

If I'm not mistaken, Local KDK is rebranded from National Panasonic OEM.

yup. most of the panasonic parts/assembly operations base are being shifted to thailand but due to some south factors , the shifting has temporarily been halted.

but the fans are still made in malaysia. best bet would be to get dealer or direct service from panasonic malaysia. they would do a one to one exchange if it is within the warranty period. use receipt as proof of purchase.

check the casing that is on top of the blade. Mine are 3 years old with remote etc and so far ok even for a Malaysian made product but mine is older model with 4 blades.

KDK..made in Johor if I'm not wrong.
