Go kart circuit
I am interested to do gokarting...does anyone know the budget involved and the location? am told that the shah alam circuit is about rm150 per pax...what about the one along LDP? does anyone know how much is it? and how fast is the gokart?
Shah Alam circuit is not that expensive. you can call 0122822508 for more details
There is a local go kart club www.my-kart.org that plans events every month. Log on and register yourself for an event. This club is a friendly group of kart loving people that organises events for beginners (k3-80cc) up to friendly 'competitive' races for people already familiar with the 2 stroke 100cc (k2) karts. Events are held either at Shah Alam, or Sepang. Prices are slghtly cheaper than walk ins - since the club regularly have around 30-40 drivers every month, for the last 2 years. But cheaper price is not the only thing, its the learning from the group, the controlled friendly competition and pre-drive safety briefing.
Then, if you really like the sport, you can always buy your own kart and move to K1 !!
Happy and safe karting.
if you want to join my other forum for go karting
Hey there ~ Just asking whether there's any other nice places to recommend for go-karts~
The tracks identified so far ~
i) CityKarting - Shah Alam (Very nice and wide)
ii) ExtremePark @ Sunway Go-Kart (Rm 20 per session) - I wonder what's their definition of per session - is it the normal 10 minutes?
iii) KartQuest - Serdang there (Abit far)
How about the one in Subang near Elite? is it still open available?
This is fun. My kids like it as well. We did it in Sentosa Island for twice. Local ones will be great. Wonder where as well; and whether the design is the same like one in Singapore ie luge plus gokart
I did most of my karting in City Karting. I guess it is one of the better maintained track and karts thus far.. Then again, haven't been back there for ages.. Condition of karts may not be what they used to be.. Rental karts mah.. And getting new kart chassis isn't cheap either...
If you don't mind going a bit further, u can explore the relatively new circuit in Malacca... Just off the PLUS at the Ayer Keroh exit...
Melaka International Motorsport Circuit

2 Stroke RM75 – 10 min
4 Stroke RM50 – 10 min

If you want to pick up a second hand super-kart (250 cc 2-stroke) with paddle gear (like F1 lah...) which is about 6 years old but hardly used, racing suit (RS Taichi), shoes (Alpinestar), gloves (RS Taichi) and helmet (Shoei) pls PM me. They are all stored in Bandar Seri Begawan and I can bring them back.

Yeah City Karting tracks is considered proper and wide ~ At least they still have some grass space between the track and the tyre barricades ~
As a buffer in case we slide ahahah
Looking for an affordable karting space ~
Anyone been to KartQuest in Serdang?
Seen in their website - 4 stroke kart (But din mentioned how many Cc, is it the 80cc kart) rental rate ==> RM 25 for 10 minutes & RM 50 for 25 minutes
4 stroke karts are generally significantly slower... even 250cc 4 stroker oso very slow...
80cc 2 stroker is the good option for both new and regular karting...
Kartquest in MAEPS in Serdang is just on a carpark barricaded with tyrewalls... The marking on the tarmac can be confusing...
Anyone been to the Mofaz Speedzone Elite track lately??? After the 2 Mofaz boys upgrew karting (especially Fairuz Fauzy), the Mofaz karting tracks are no longer what it used to be...
