Where to buy buttermilk in Subang?

Ok, the title of this thread says it all. Where in subang can i get buttermilk?

you can make yr own. half pint milk+half teasp bicarbonate soda. leave to stand for half an hour..use as per recipe.

is it relevant what kind of milk i use? can i just use the normal packed uht full cream milk?

yup..use any type of milk tho buttermilk is lighter..if you wanna get the commercial ones..i think tesco or cold storage will have them..

Wanna ask is bicarbonate soda = baking soda ?

To make your own buttermilk : 1 Tablespoon lemon juice/vinegar + 250 ml (1cup) of milk (prefered warm milk,not hot!) and let it stand of 5 mins.

Buttermilk isnt too difficult to prepare. Order milk from the milkman .. he delivers daily if u want, and u boil the milk yourself. Keep it in the fridge and the cream will surface. Collect the cream daily and store it into a clean container, then when u hv enough, just use the normal cake mixer, beat it up until it goes past the whipped cream stage, and it will start to separate. Beat until u see it getting hard. Press out the liquid from the solid butter, and Voila!! Buttermilk sitting at the bottom of your container. And u get butter too. Freshly made! Can't beat freshly made butter on buttermilk scones.
Add a little jam to the scones... hv a sip of tea.. and u're in heaven

where? make a left immediately after the police station, it is the 3rd or 4th shop on your right.

thanks that's where i get all my baking stuff. they didn't have it there the past few times i went to ask. mebbe must order in advance. will ask them the next time i go there.
