Donation drive initiative for Pusat Penjagaan Kanak2 Cacat Taman Megah SS24.

Err buddies...following up to the thread topic which Orchi started...Orchi has received some positive feedbacks from fellow forumers of this webforum...to initiate a donation drive as soon as possible...to collect funds for purchase n supply of sundry items that are constantly needed by The Home for disabled children in Taman Megah SS24 Petaling Jaya...

But before Orchi begins...Orchi wishes to get as much feedbacks as possible in the forum to see whether we should work further on this initiative...either on a add-hoc basis...or monthly basis...quarterly basis or half yearly basis...?

    Your feedbacks are most welcomed...TQ.

Oh btw...we have done a similar donation drive before...with the immense help of our dear Patrick Tan...who volunteered to keep track of the bank account for the donation drive to offer emergency assistance to the accident victim Miss. Alicia Ngiam...previously.

Orchi believes we could do likewise for the Home of disabled children in Taman Megah PJ...

I've got good health for the most part, altho I'm far from fit. But those children are disabled, and they might never regain good health ever again thruout their lives, and some probably, are disowned by their parents or have no one to call their own.. Orchi you're right, even a small deed goes a long way.... So yup, I believe I can help out too, in whichever way I can.

While I respect and salute your efforts to organize a donation drive for the particular Pusat Penjagaan Kanak-Kanak Cacat, perhaps it might be better for individuals to do something on their own.

For example, as soon as I am well enough, I am going to visit my friend who's a senior management guy in A. Clouet, marketer of Ayam Brand sardines and baked beans, and asked to buy all the dented stuff every month or so and deliver them to this place. I might even visit another friend to sponsor a daily bread delivery plan. 150 loaves of the Sure Value 630g per month (5 loaves per day) = RM285 and the bread (large economy loaves) would be delivered fresh every morning.

Wait till I get well, soon!

Hi Sentinel, do get well soon.

That's a good idea for those who want to do something on their own. For the rest who do not have time to make personal visits but want to contribute, I believe Orchi or Patrick can help to procure and deliver the goodies to the home.

    Just a suggestion..

Collect the money and supply them monthly (for a year) of food and medicines what ever we collected. Tell the grocery to deliver to them on a monthly basis. As for medicine, get the local subang clinic to subsidize... ie. Dr Chen

If Patrick is the "collector" I pledge RM100 he will know how to collect from me.

And perhaps for a start, lets pool some money together and get the basic stuff first. Patrick, put me up for RM200 first.

    1. fRaNkY - RM100.00
    2. Sentinel - RM200.00
