I guess many of you had received their forms (those like me still not "e" yet).

When is the deadline?

Anyone know when they are coming to Subang to help us fill it up? I need another form for wifey.

I was at Amcorp Mall, just this past Sunday. There was a table with officers there taking in registration of E-filing.
I registered, very simple, show Mykad, fill name and IC no..they fill in your file number and PIN number on the form. You take back home the form, logon to the security website https://ef.hasil.org.my and using the given pin number, logon to your account and follow the instructions to submit your form.

EASY!..done it!..

A question or two here, initially posed by a friend, which I can't for the likes of me answer !

The person is not employed but is deriving income from rental properties. Has not received the form by mail this year despite updating new addie last year. So, is form B or BE required ? What's the difference (apart from the deadline!) ?

They have a stall set up at Subang Parade, next to the MPH. But the staff stationed there is only interested in promoting e-filing of taxes, not help you with your taxes.

borang B for is business income (usually income tax file start with OG-xxx) whereas Borang BE is for employment income (SG-xxx). For rental income both forms also cater for rental income. I suggest the person submit the same kind of form he submits every year previously (since he is unemployed now) be it Borang B or Borang BE.

Does anyone know if e-filing can be done using Firefox instead of Internet Explorer. Tried the IE (version 6) and it cannot go beyond the part where I have 'PIN VERIFIED' and then fill in personal information and then click 'I Agree' to the terms and conditions. Of course I tried calling the help line and you can guess it : 'All our consultants are busy ......" and they don't put you in a queue but then kill the line.

CALVINHOBBES, you will have to use IE as they require you to install an ActiveX control to choose and verify your digital cert.

Yeah, I did use IE version 6 but cannot go beyond the steps I mentioned above. Downloaded the manual on what to do from the LHDN website, followed all instructions but still stuck.

1. Disable or lower the security settings TEMPORILY in this case. Goto Internet Options/ Security tab / Trusted Sites = Low
(This is absolutely neccessary if using IE7 (for those who've upgraded)

2. Disable the pop-up blocker. Internet Options / Privacy = uncheck box

It should now work (almost flawlessly). Hope that helps and good luck!.

When all finished, reset or revert to previous settings to for default protection. IE7 is quite fussy and the whole process will be problematic if my suggestion above is not followed...other than that..the process is a sail through..

I think I did try with Firefox but somewhat unsuccessful..perhaps some settings need to be tweaked like above..nevertheless..I didn't want to waste time and finished the task with IE7.

I have "e" already and they stop sending me the form. So no choice but to continue "e".

Effective from Year Of Assessment 2006, a PIN Number is given together with the annual Tax Return (B/BE) sent to taxpayers.

If Form B/BE 2006 is not received by 15.3.2007, kindly please notify the nearest LHDNM Branch Office for verification and issuance of PIN Number. You may also call our Customer Service Centre at 1-300-88-3010 for assistance.



I guess if you do not have your form by now, you are being "pressured" to go get a PIN number to do e-filing or get a blank form from their office.
