Banci ConMen in USJ?

I'm at work. Today afternoon my wife called me from home and said that a man came to the house claiming that he was conducting a Banci exercise.
He was asking questions like how many TVs, Cars that we have... My wife chided him and said that was none of his business. He responded and said "Janganlah sombong...."... Eventually he walked off....

Did anyone experience this recently?

since when banci operation requires to know how many cars/tv/other electronics
as i know they only need to know how many person staying in the house and some other general questions.

They came to my house 1+year back also. They are conmen. They will ask you to scratch a card to win a prize then say u need to pay few hundread for it.
