    Smile Printing via wi-fi??

    Calling all computer literates... Haha

I have a wi-fi system running at home..

A PC connected to a d-link wi-fi router with a canon bubble jet printer hooked up to it...

I am using a notebook in my room.... I'm trying to figure out how to PRINT via WI-FI to that canon printer connected to my PC.

Anyone knows how to do this? Thanks...

Some printer is network ready, which come with a network port that you can connect to your switch or hub, that kind of printer is easy to print via network. Your Canon Bublejet most probably are not network ready, so there are only 2 solutions: -

    1. Connect your printer to a network ready PC and use that PC to share your printer over the network (wifi).

    2. Buy a print server, a small device that act as the role of the PC above.

    Hope this will help.

    Thumbs down

It's funny.. I'm still having problems configuring it.. maybe it's because of my ZoneAlarm.... is that a possibility?

In addition to connecting your printer to a PC you will also need to configure your network and ensure that both PC and laptop share the same workgroup.

Right click My Computer, select Properties and then the Computer Name tab. Click on the Change button and change the workgroup name if you need to.

Once you have done this, you will be able to add a network printer on your laptop.
