Pathfinder ('Pendekar Terakhir' when translated)

From the uber bad dialogue to the non-existant plot, this movie (in my eyes) sucks so bad that it blows.

Only forgivable thing bout it all was the banting adverts ouside the cinema entrance

Someone told me that it was a must-watch due to the interesting trailer. I watched the trailer and felt the same way. And I was thinking, the cast is almost unheard of, so the bulk of the budget must have gone into making the movie instead of into the actor's pockets. Boy, was I wrong. The director's "eyes" was a little amatuer as a lot of the scenes could have been "clearer" and more exciting to invoke some emotions... Those fighting scenes and chasing scenes are just a little lame compared to "The Last of The Mohicans" or "The 13th Warrior".

After so many movies review that I made, there was hardly a time when I discourage people from watching it in the theathers. This may just be the first....

Hmmm...was actually looking forward to this movie when i saw the trailer from apple. Even planning to watch it this weekend. Better think twice. Well, there is always DVD. :P

the lead for this show is actually the LOTR star for the character Eomer!

Oh, Eomer... .I kinda liked him in LOTR.... no wonder he looked kind of familiar...

Anyway, I think it's the director's fault. A lot of the scenes can be made better. For example the chasing scenes were poorly edited... those hits and blows were not "emphasized", thus leaving the audience "unharm". A good fighting scene should make the audience dodge as the villians deals their blows.

Also, the love tension was almost unfelt. And the part where all the warrior red indians try to fight for their lives should be more heart tugging, the angle should be more heroic, their fight should be more worthy... but the director didnt bring that out... Sigh... I still can't help but think that Last of the Mohicans and The 13th Warrior was way better even though they were made close to a decade ago...
