the cost? depends on whether you're looking for just a straightener or you want those u can change the plates to make it a crimper as well

there are few popular brands. vidal sasson has a few types. some uses steam..some hv ceramic plates. prices range from less than rm100 to rm 200

there is also babybliss. seen this brand b4 but never tried. cheaper than the VS

the one i hv is from philips. mine is a curler, crimper and straightener. looks like a value for money set. jsut that the straightener is not hot enuf to really acheive the look lor. i got it for rm139

What are the ceramic plates for? I guess I am looking just for the straightener then. why is your product not hot enuf to achieve the look? Does vs have the same effect? BTW, where can I purchase this product?
    Thanks, Athena!

well...the ceramic plates is suppose to protect the hair and also easier to glide so that your hair tak putus when u straightened. the protect part, i still tak faham sangat...

the VS one i tried only my fren's straightener with steam. works fine but the steam a bit hot for me..so i don't like it..prob u get the simple dry one will do. Just go to Watson's or Guardian. Can't rmbr which one. They hv. Sometimes they are on discounts too

mine is just not hot enuf...hv to go thru many many many rounds lor...but my curler works like a charm..just that not value for money to pay so much for something u can't use!
