    What do you think ?

Today I was driving and got stuck in an usual jam along Old Klang Road.

Suddenly this question came into my mind as I saw a lot of single driver.

What if suddenly the government came out a ruling that at a certain hours, only those with 2 or more people in the car can be on the road ?

    Feeeback please...

as for me, no way. it will cause a lot of trouble ..

I doubt that sort of ruling can ever happen... it would be too big a restriction... but, encouraging car-pooling is always recommended...

yeah you are right, but how many of us are willing to car pool ? that is the main question.

For example, if you car pool with a person, and so happen that evening you need to settle some stuff and you need to send that person home, what would you do ?

Back in Uni/college days, it made perfect sense to car pool because we were dead short of cash and we were attending the same lectures anyway... but for working people, it can be rather hard...

Such ruling will never be implemented unless the government can improve the public transport especially the KTM Komuter, Putra LRT, Monotail, ..., etc.

Do you know that KTM Komuter to Sentul got "technical problem" again and all passenger (including me) must "JUMP" from the train in order to catch another komuter?

    Saw this on Sunday evening...
Was driving along the Federal Highway at around 6+ evening saw a few policemen in white and a few in dark blue on the stretch near the GAB, on the side of traffic coming towards Sunway/ Subang/ Klang. There were just stopping cars. In the process, they created a long queue stretching from them all the way to beyond the Jalan 222 exit.

Just a bit down the road, where the Straits timber is another policeman with a walkitalki (2 way radio) among the bushes reporting all the cars that jump queue. Now remember that they were the ones creating a jam. what sort of attics are they showing!!!

Err buddies...in the States n Canada...the state patrol police(smokeys)...n RCMPs would do the same thing hiding behind bill boards...or ambushing somewhere...armed with radar speed detectors...to track down speeding n traffic offenders...n this similar sorta antic...is being used anywhere in the world for the same purpose...

How else would they catch the offenders in the acts...?

    Err...use helicopters...or rocket propelled backpacks...on roller skates?

Federal Highway is always experiencing traffic jams at any given hour of the day! And these policemen just had to add on to the misery of the drivers... but then again, when I see a car being stopped because they were caught driving on the emergency lane (jumping queue), I don't feel so mad at them anymore.. hehe..

In the States, they have car pool lanes... if I'm not mistaken, for 3 persons and above. You wanna enjoy the less traffic lane, well... you gotta car pool

Or we just improve our public transport then. That way, there will be less car and ppl won't mind living somewhere farther away since the transportation (i.e. train service) is punctual, efficient and reliable.

I think the key to reducing traffic on the roads is merely education and public transport improvement.. if we can educate people on being less selfish and more caring towards society-related issues, we win half the battle already... and if there can be more places linked to the public transport routes, surely people will use them...

Do you think it's justifiable to create the jam and catch the offenders?? The Jam was caused by these policemen as they stop cars, they were standing in the middle of the road slowing all the cars!!! Is this ethical? The jam was not a short one but it stretches all the way to near PJ Hilton!!! and on a Sunday!!!
