    Arrow FAM Coach

Well guys, to begin with..I am one of the coaches of the National U-20. K.Rajagobal is the head coach for the team. The U-20 team I cud say is the MSN/FAM project until year 2008. This year itself we beat several team like M.U Youth in Manchester, Stoke City Youth, India and all the S.E.Asian U-20 team. We also lost/win some matches in Brazil Slovakia and China. Unfortunately we are not doing that well in the Asia Youth Championship in India recently. But what I can say that this is the most promising youth team in the country. So guys please help me with your critics what so ever.
    *Pls excused my english.

    Thanks for the comment.
I've been to places like Europe, Brazil, all Asian cntrys, Australia and Some Arab cntry. I have the opptnty to see and learn how they run their ftball things. If we say that our players wanted VVVVVIP Trtment, their plyrs must be getting VVVVVVVVVVVIP. They are filthy rich! They have everything that our plyrs never dream of. My opinion that we still need people like you, me and everybody to support our ftball right from the base.

i used to support malaysian football when i was young during mokthar dahari time, but after that time, i slowly given up malaysian football...

since you say you are the coach, what happen to the malaysian team ?? I am not being racist or what but i see 90% of the team are malay. what happen to other races ? my football team played against the selangor reserve team a few years back. and some of our player caught the eyes of the coach, once the coach ask my team manager what race are they, and when my manager say is chinese, he just shook his head and walk off...is this call racist ?

you can beat any team in a friendly game and boost about it...if you want to proof yourself is good, win a major tournament, then start talking, dont talk when u only beat club side or nation during a friendly..walk the talk..

yeah, brazil is a poor country and i believe their football acedemy are not as advance as us but they produce world class players. they play for their country, pride and etc as is their rice bowl to get out of poverty. and our players, playing for what ? money or what ? if u say that our players cannot get what other country players are getting, look into the mirror, they are world class style not jaguh kampung !!

come on, dont monkey see, monkey do...other countries are producing results and some of their player are playing in the EPL, Spanish League and getting tons of money. And we want to learn from them ? How long more we want to learn ? 10 years or 100 years ? Malaysia used to be the power house of football in ASIA, even South Korea and Japan dare not to play against us but now where are they. In the WORLD CUP and we even a gold medal in the SEA Games also cannot get. I dont see Malaysia players play their hearts out. Only playing for money, money.

Claude Le Roy coach malaysian football for a very short period. you want to know why he got booted out, is because OUR MALAYSIAN FOOTBALL PLAYERS CANNOT take his training. cannot stand they way he train us. He left us and went to Cameroon. And within 2 years, Cameroon is playing in the World Cup for the first time. If he can do that to Cameroon what he can do to Malaysia. Malaysian players are just a bunch of lazy people who just want to make a quick buck.

and Titus..the child prodogy...get the chance to train in Europe, did FAM step in to help out ? the answer is NO !!!

even when we sent 2 of our players to train in Germany and 3 months later they came back. reason, misses home larr this lar that larr... come on..is a real bulls*** reason..maybe they CANT stand the training.

Dunhill used to sponsor tons of money to FAM, where the money goes, Development, trips and etc ?? If Dunhill uses the money to give to any african nation, they will win the world cup or at least reaches the quaterfinals.

i dont think malaysian football will ever advance even in the South East Asia Region.

P/S : Sorry for this outrage..I have nothing against mohdfaozi and the post above is not meant to attack him. I am just attacking malaysian football...

    welcome mohdfaozi,

I'm also a very big fan of football/futsal. Currently i'm actively playing futsal at a competitive level.

We're currently the MCA futsal champion 2006 after competing with teams from other states.

I would like to help improve the futsal/football in our country. It is not an easy task but i would rather die than give up.

First and foremost, i would like to ask your opinion on getting a coaching license for futsal. I have contacted Coach Bala, national futsal coach and he say that coaching license is open to state representitive only and not individual or club representitive.

But i'm willing to pay and submit my resume. And i believe there's only benefit if more and more people are well verse in coaching.

    Please advise

my friend here, a european guy, being a football trainer.
what i understand from him is the players have difficulties to accept a foreigner telling them how to play football in malaysia...so back to the attitude problems ????
sure can believe they CAN'T STAND A PROPER TRAINING, especially when "masa makan", means from 8 morning till 12 midnite

    Yes, welcome mohdfaozi.

firstly, i'm intrigued by your seeking for help or feedback here to assist you in building the national team amongst the forum's most ardent footie lovers. and we do hv plenty. i'm also impressed that you are willing to do something abt the state of our country's football game.

    but the moment you said,
...If we say that our players wanted VVVVVIP Trtment, their plyrs must be getting VVVVVVVVVVVIP. They are filthy rich! They have everything that our plyrs never dream of...
you hv just underlined what the dillema is in our nation's football fraternity. stoking the hornet's nest, as they say.

you see, when you mentioned 'they' - the foreign teams, they would hv achieved something to hv deserved that kind of treatment, no matter rich or otherwise. be it at international, regional, club or youth level.

like my fren alexhay here mentioned, we can 'boast' beating teams in friendlies only but faced failure in competitions. if we hv not won any accolades in competitions or international/regional tournaments, we shouldnt be 'deserving' of any kind of 'royal or high placed' treatment. its a false sense of achievement we shouldnt place in our youth, even if we can afford it. win something first, then give them the well-deserved accolades and treatment. otherwise, stick to trainee level treatment. and this should start frm the trainers inculcating the right attitude and character development in the players. mindsets will hv to change, and it begins frm the top. and that includes you. it would be interesting to see if you can make a difference then.

we shouldnt be dreaming of others achievements (or treatments) when we havent even achieved our dreams...

    Good feedback and support

    Hi Semua!
Thanks to Jay for your support. And also congratulation to you and your team being the champion in the MCA Futsal Championship. About the futsal coaching course can u kindly submit to me your resumee. Coach Bala office just beside mine and I will do my best to ensure you can participate in the next course. Its my word! And dont hesitate to call me to join the futsal training bcoz I love to play futsal too.
Thanks also to Teeque for your constuctive comments. When I mention that we beat some of the big clubs, my intention is to tell that eventhough our developement and fb setup is nothing if to compare to them but still we can prove to them and tell people back home that we are moving toward the right direction. The only thing that we needs is that the trust and moral support from friends and people who love to see our football to shine back. It is not a one man job. I wud like to share our experiences with you guys while we were in India recently. During the matches against Vietnam, Saudi Arabia and Iraq we are not playing against 11 plyrs but we are playing also against their hundreds of supporters came from nowhere complete with drums banging and their national flags. Very sadly to say that none of our supporter or Malaysian flag can be seen in the stadium. But what I can be sure is that we can receive comments after comments about the team which sometimes is far beyond the facts. All we needs is that to start playing our self, grab our son, friends and people around us to some corner and kick around what we call football and the most important enjoy it. If you can make a person to play football its good enough. You dont have to be perfact to put the ball in the net. Have fun! Try it. Have you?
Now I begin to feel that Malaysian loves to play foottball instead of just seeing.

    Dear MohdFaozi,

I truely welcome your participation in this forum. At the same time, i think you will not be disappointed with other forummers here because i feel that people here are more "open" and "matured" in posting.

coming back to the futsal coaching license, I have given my resume to coach Bala already in the month of August. That time, i heard that in July, there was a coaching clinic limited to 2 person per state to join, applying for 'C' license. And i heard the next coaching clinic is this month, November.

I really don't mind paying. And i don't c why knowledge cannot be shared among passionate futsal lovers.

I just need to know 2 things:-
    1. Can this coaching license be applied by individual/club representative?
    2. When is the next coaching clinic?

the rest i will apply thru proper channel without disturbing u too much

    Thanks again

faozi...i am very open here. if our own team cant even take the drums beating and opponent support pressure, what about playing in our own soil ? Even we play in Bkt Jalil Stadium, we also can loose. So I dont feel that the reason you gave is sufficient enough. To see our nation football to shine back is no one man job. This I would have to agree with you. You mention that we do not have our flag ? Why not you bring our Malaysia flag there and show them. You can proudly fly our flag at major tournament.

I believe that all of us have read the papers that players did not get their salary for months. How are they going to survive ? They have family to support and need to put food on the table. Without money how to survive ? You tell me now. FAM is giving money to the state, but where the money goes ? Their own pocket ? Their 'learning' trip that can take the whole family and travel first class ? Answer me.

If you want Malaysian football to shine back, change the management style. Ensure that salary is being paid on time. When a player have money on time and able to meet ends need, for sure they will not think of other things. They will play their hearts out.

I do play football every weekend. My team is the mixture of all races. And sadly, most of the team that we always played with is ONE race only, either malay or indian.

I believe the other point that we need to improve is the communication of the team. Everyone in the team must be a family. The coach is given the say on the players selection and NOT the management.

Another part is the media have to show their bid. Malaysian media only seems interested in foreign football, you want to know why, as its attract money. You switch to ESPN, and you can see almost everyday, they are talking about EPL, Spanish League and etc. But cant see them talk about malaysian football.

Football have to start young. If you really want to bring Malaysian football to greater height, start changing the management style. I got a friend who are currently working with FAM. And now he understands why malaysian football is down the drain. All because the mentality of the management which is still way back and only wants their own race to be in the team.

We have a talent of players which at times I do monitor but we are NOT given the exposure. We are not playing enough international games. Furthermore I believe that we have change the format of the league many times. I even heard it been changed just to cater a state team.

I am being very direct. I want to see Malaysian Football improved. To improve, we must change

    1) Management Style. Ensure salary is being paid on time.
    2) Management Mentality. No more jaguh kampung mentality
    3) Management attitude. Everything want to be advance but forgot the basic football

If the above had met, for sure the players attitude will slowly change and they will play their hearts out.
