eg. 1.

My mother is blind. Is there a special counter for the disabled like my mother at your department? I was informed that the disabled will not be charged any fees. What are the conditions that need to be fulfilled before she is able to enjoy this benefit?
The Department has a special counter for the elderly, disabled and expectant mothers. For the special groups, they have to get a verification letter from the Social Welfare Department or from the medical specialist at the Government Hospital.

Normally a disabled person is visually noticeable, a verification letter still needed ?

I had an argument with my wife and she tore my Malaysian Restricted Passport (MRP). What should I do to replace that passport? How long will it take to get a new one?
You need to fill in the passport application and the Survey Forms from the Immigration Offices for you to submit your application for replacement. According to the Department's Charter, the replacement process takes about 1 (one) month.

Can't they just put it in a more general format ? eg. "a damaged MRP". I wonder what is going through his/her mind when he/she is writing this FAQ.

eg. 3

I have a Masters in Engineering and am interested to work in Malaysia. What are the conditions and procedures for submitting an application?
First of all, you need to get an offer to work in Malaysia and your application should be made by your employer. You are allowed to enter Malaysia only after your application has been approved.

So if a foreigner is a Masters holder in Engineering and intends to work in Malaysia, he is barred to enter Malaysia till he his application for whatever is approved by the immigration department ?

eg. 4

I am Herald, an Italian citizen aged 39. I am interested in the 'Malaysia-My Second Home' programme and wish to apply for it. Am I eligible and what are the conditions for application?
Please visit the official website of the Immigration Department and look under 'Special Programmes' at http://www.imi.gov.my

Majority of the FAQ questions are so specific based (eg. country) instead of generic/general based. It is very confusing for foreigners seeking an answer from their website.
