Cop turns snatch thief after work!!

Dun seems to find in english newspaper this news. For those who can read chinese, below is the link for the news.

    http://www.sinchew.com.my/content.ph...d=200609252901

Anyway, the story goes like this.. This cop, 25 yrs old, was into this "part time job" for a year already. He has been 2 yrs in the police force.. And there are abt 40 cases done by him. After his work as a police, he rode in his bike and went to Bkt Bintang, Jln Raja Laut, etc to look for his target...

What is wrong with these ppl nowadays... No where is safe.. And no one can be trusted..

Hopefully, it's a "nila setitik, susu rosak sebelanga" case... isolated. The rest of the cops are working hard, normal family folks like you and me.

We cannot use an isolated case to tag all Cops! Not fair!
The majority of which (Police Officers) are sincerely hardworking and essentially performing to keep our neighborhood safe!

Sometimes these cops are so financial tight due to their low pay, they have no choice but find ways to make ends meet. Unfortunately, they choose the wrong method to earn extra cash and should have no excuse for it.

The Government should look into the plight of the police force in general and overcome it as soon as possible.

My take is that the government should look not only at the police force but in fact across the spectrum at all civil servant earning RM650 and below. That way it is fair and equitable to all ministry. So far this is the only police caught playing thief but how many other civil servants are doing it?

Not all police are bad. Only a few black sheep.
Many die in their line of work protecting the people.
Very surprise to read in the papers that their pay is so low.
The indonesian coffeeshop maids are getting far more than them.
( I meant thoes without degrees).
It just goes to show that the ministry concern, do not see their problem and they do not bother to help this chaps.
Hope they get a good raise this coming year.

Ya.. remember one recent case where the police was stabbed by the robber and still manage to get back to police station to give details to his colleages..

But Brownsugar feels bad when heard that a police actually bcome snatch thief after work.. I mean if his pay is low, can't he do other part-time job.. So many ppl are also doing part-time job.. Low pay is not an excuse.. Dun u think so

    Agreed

The blame lies on the recuritment process something has to be done to improve in the manner of recuriting canditates with higher qualification and integrity and comprising of all races... They should be fluent with a few languages and would like to see more policemen of mixed races patrolling our streets.

Getting low wages should NEVER be the excuse to rob! Period. There're tons of legal jobs to take up. If there's not enough $$$ in the current job, quit for one that has. If still not sufficient, then take on 2 jobs at a time, one fulltime, the other parttime. To rob? Never should one resort to that.
It's better to be poor than to be rich. The rich always have to fear becoming poor, but the poor never have to fear becoming rich.

The Polis Crime department are trying their best to counter crime in our area and else where. Recently I notice more petrol cars moving about in our area (USJ).
Re the "Wheels for cops". Has anyone see/saw the new Cambara donated by the USJ commitee yet.? What are the car's numbers.
