Kevin, my suggestion is not to start this thread. Even mainstream newspapers showing vehicles committing traffic offences black-out the registration plates, I think there could be legal implications. Even if there is none, it is not for us to "publicly pass judgement" on someone's else driving habits and we could also be wrong.... I dunno but this is my 2-sen point-of-view.

And I blame it on our education system and our tidak apa attitude. When I was in Australia, I sometimes cut queue and have no patience. As times goes by, I realised, the culture here is different. People are patience and considerate. Slowly, I changed and became one of them. After back here in Malaysia, first month I started to condemm the driver. Very stressful. Now somehow, I have 40% of the bad habits being absorbed into my driving style sub conciously. This place have norms that seriously need to be reviewed and changed.

No driver blows the horn in Brunei. Nobody dares to because they may hoot at the wrong cars. Wrong cars include those black cars with no registration numbers but just letters like DPW - Duli Pengiran Wazir (Prince Mohamed), DPMM - Duli Pengiran Mahkota Muda (Crown prince) or those with PAP - Pengiran Anak Puteri - the princesses.

Then there are those locals who do not like to be hooted at especially by foreigners like Filipino, Bangladeshi or Thai workers. Even Malaysian workers are disliked here. One can get slapped for hooting.... but foreigners do not fight back because they will lose their work permit and get deported.

So, over time people don't blow their horns here even sometimes they are so, so, very angry in their cars........

i think i better post my car plate number here as well but i'm trying my best to drive normally..
