Sorry this is NOT related to USJ stuff but I should let u guys know if u're heading to buy products during this PIKOM fair in KLCC convention center..
Needless to say I may be jumping the gun but I believe i may have a case.
I was at the PIKOM fair today .. bought myself two USB Kingston Data traveller thumb drives.. 2 gigabytes and 1 gb each.
The drives look original..and there was a registeration number/serial number on the box... so I decided to verify the drive on the official Kingston website here..
To my surprise, the website replies to my email account and the product is not authenticated by Kingston.. meaning it is mostlikely a FAKE.
Reading a few links here helped me to 'verify' that is may be a fake.
I performed another test of this 2GB drive. I copied 2GB in total of mp3 files onto this drive and I could only manage to copy 880mb. Each time I try to copy more files (may it be mp3 or other types).. an error comes on to say that it can't form a new directory or some **** like that.
If this is the case.. i'm very upset if it's fake. I would probably have to go to the store which I bought the unit from and get a refund but I have to have my evidence first.
Ultimately, I'm even more upset if such FAKE products (and I don't think it's just limited to USB drives) are selling in a PIKOM fair.. how can this happen????
Will update you guys as I get more evidence etc.
Please be aware on what u buy. What looks original will turn out to be fake.
I hate this...
