Let's put aside the children. Now asked the adults, how many of you would wanna become policemen? Or even just a volunteery enforcer? Percentage is close to zero perhaps.Originally Posted by orchipalar

First of all, we have to reformat our kids' perception of the policeman as all his life we parents have been scaring them how the policeman will 'catch' them. The kids definitely won't want to take up this job as he knows he will have his hand full with 'problematic' children he is supposed to 'catch.' We parents don't tell them what happen after the police 'catch' them so the kids will say "Dad, what am I supposed to do with those dammed kids?" Then just recently there was a survey about corruption and to our surprise, majority of our teenagers says they will not hesitate to bribe their way through. Our kids when they reached that level will have a conflicting complex. He will say next, "Here you teach me to be honest and other values in life and when I become a policeman, I will be so tempted - makan pun ada problem, tak makan pun ada problem. I think I rather be lawyer." End of story.
Kokomo, sorry but I cant be included in your stats. I no longer qualify to be a PVR but IF they are still prepared to take me in, I am game. I'm certainly not hardup for the small $. They dont even need to pay me if they cant afford to. And I am sure there are more than just me out there. So, sorry lah....your stats tak boleh pakai!Originally Posted by kokomo
Pat, that small $ is more like a token of appreciation or $ minum petang. Haha .. anyway, no longer qualify or over qualify doesn't matter as long the will is there. Can always set up our own whole of USJ/SJ community to do rounds, volunteery work also. Do you think is a good idea?Originally Posted by patrick

http://www.usj.com.my/bulletin/uploa...&postcount=131It is time we, the residents and the community, fight back. WE must strike fear into these criminal terrorists and strike them out of our community. They have their organized crime. We will have our own....
Headed by our very own 'OCPD' Orchi.
Tools of trade will be baseball bats. The M.O. of the club members are that the batters needs target practice sessions. Some patrolling may be required to seek out targets. No experience needed for batting practice and training will be provided. Actively recruiting now and all residents are invited to join voluntarily. Membership is free.

SS14 NW has a decent size group. The yellow-vested members there took turns to patrol their neighbourhood. They armed themselves with sticks\ (to chase away aggressive strays + possible idiotic thieves), congrgate at a coimmon area then do their rounds everynite. The SS17 statistics wil show a drastic drop in crime committed at night..but there are still rampany snatch thieveries in rush &day light hrs...Originally Posted by patrick

Err...alternatively the volunteers here...could consider to join the proposed setup of the SJ Alert action team...
By then should all is inplaced n ready...at any moment of time whenever a verified distress call is received...or a verified crime-in-progress alert is being reported...an SJ Alert SMS would be sent out to the available members of the action team nearest to the source of distress call...or the crime-in-progress scene...would react by providing whatever possible n necessary assistance to distressed party in the community...
