Do the right thing, Condoleezza Rice?

This is just absolute ****** crap!

First and foremost, no one gave KJ the right to speak on behalf of Malaysians. Umno Youth is Umno Youth, no more, no less. It is not the representative of the Malaysian rakyat by any measure.

Second, Condi Rice is a guest of the Malaysian govt. You don't second guess your own govt by declaring a person it has invited (never mind that she's the Foreign Policy supremo of the world's only superpower) persona non grata.

Third, KJ's antics will play into the hands of the ultra conservative establishment in the US who believe that there is no such thing as a moderate Muslim. Think what play the Fox Channel, for example, would have over his orchestrated demonstration in KL.

I cannot believe that an Oxbridge graduate like KJ would behave in such an immature manner, with no regard to the norms of courtesy, let alone diplomacy, and with the boorishness of a spoilt brat.

Let's not forget that the US is one of the major investors in Malaysia, and one of the largest markets for Malaysian exports.

If anything, KJ should be asking himself just why is it that Spore has attracted 2/3 of Asean's foreign direct investment from the US.

I will be writing a letter to the New Straits Times to rebut KJ's op-ed piece in the paper the other day. Hopefully, it will be published.

KJ - do us all a favour and use some of your God-given talent, if you have any, to help solve the myriad problems here in Malaysia, instead of trying to create a persona on the world stage.

    Hi sirgalahad2010,

I honestly do not believe in violent and war and I am sure the general view is US should intervene in the current escalating conflict in middle east. I also agree with you that KJ should not carry out such a demonstration as there are other avenues for KJ to express the UMNO YOUTH's displeasure over US stand at this point in time over the conflict.

The views of men with the head bands over their heads during protest really look scary to me....I am just a simple Malaysian and I love Malaysia as a peaceful country. I am sure our government will not want such a demonstration to occur........I hope in the future who ever has such an idea of carrying out similar demonstration to think twice....especially came with the head band.....

In the UMNO circle, KJ is known as 'insan istimewa. Even the FRU dare not touch a hair. So in future if anyone wants to organise a demonstartion for price inflation, don't forget to rope in KJ. No one will fire you with water jets.....

This just goes to show what cras mentality KJ has. To me this is just political showmanship to the max. If I were you I will just ignore him. Empty vessel makes more noise.

This is not the first time he made a fool of himself. The other time when he held a demonstration at the Shahpadu Highway where a child was killed while trying to cross the road. At the demo, those who were participating with him was carrying a coffin and jumping like monkeys. Even the Malays were commenting "this is certainly not our culture to carry a coffin to bring up a point." Obviously, I would not want my potential prime minister to behave like that - thinks through his heart rather than his brain. Who knows when he leads the country and he doesn't like Singapore, he can do irrational things - like throwing sand which he is unable to sell into their rice bowls. The American have good intelligence system. They remembered the current Prime Minister of Iran was once participating in the Iranian revolution as an extremist. Likewise, they will always remember KJ's face (sorry, I don't trust men with jangut) in this senseless demonstration. Hope Kit Siang brings this up at the Parliament sitting and of course we will have the 2 'yesmen' of Kinabatangan and Jerai standing up to 'mark attendance' and score bonus points which is convertible to ministrerial position later on.

KJ is try to score point and make himself visible all these while. His ultimate agenda is to become the youngest PM in this country, period.

From now until he becomes PM, he has to become the champion of the Muslim and Malay.. perjuangan and voice for them.

I also believe we shouldn't have war and killing at all.

As for the Lebonan and Isreal conflict, both sides have to stop sending rockets into each other, and not just asking Isreal to stop and let the "his bolah" continue sending thousands of rockets into Isreal.

The sad thing is.... the media in Malaysia is one sided, only reported the casuaties at the Lebonan side and demonized Isreal.

Malaysia govt. is playing with fire....their one sided reporting will create more extreme Muslim believer in Malaysia and eventually will explode and Malaysia govt. will feel sorry later in this Bolih Land... mark my word.........Malaysia govt. is playing with fire and the extremist will come back to haunt Malaysia one day.

What worries me is that suicide bombers are termed as "pengebom berani mati" in our media, berani? What message are they trying to put across, shouldn't they be termed as "bunuh diri" instead?

The papers should be told to exercise common sense in writing their stories. Maybe our PM should speak out against them...oh, well...

Have anyone of you seen the RTM1 male newscaster reading his news lately especially when it comes to the Labenon-Isreal war? I think his name is Farid or something like that.(can't remember his name) His tone of voice when he read the news is really disgusting. I believe, news media in this country is so one sided that we are producing more militant minded citizen than before. Let see what our Datuk Zam can do about this.

    Thumbs down

i dont think KJ realizes the effect of his demonstration has on Malaysia, his views does not represent Malaysia as a whole.

If in the event Malaysia decides to boycott or pisses off the American and British goods, he will have indirect sent us back to the stone age. Our trade with the States probably only cost them a cuple of billion dollars (pocket change), when they themselves spend trillions on a war!

In order to see Americans and British eye to eye on the table, you need to first talk the talk and walk the walk. Develop our own country, be a force to be reckon with in Asia. Focus on that and achieve our Vision 2020, we not only become a globally developed and recognized but also become an example to other Muslim countries not to use violence as a tool but by using brains to seek a solution.

We have KJ to tarnish our image abroad (worse of all he had to protest in the name of UMNO-directly link to the government), and PAS (frontpage Wannabe) to gather enough spotlight to make Americans brand Malaysia as a Terrorist Risk area.
Humans are unique creatures, no matter what one individual does, it will not suffice or be contented with. This is one factor which differentiates us between humans are animals, the will to strive for the better.
