I just got myself a Kenwood Breadmaker and wonder if anyone one of you would be kind enough to give me some tips or maybe even some recipes.
Im more interested in those health breads like whole meal or fruit flavoured loaf.

Your breadmaker should come with a recipe book - something is wrong if you don't have one in the set.
Do note that the sequence of adding the ingredients is important for bread-makers. At first follow the measurements strictly. Once comfortable, you may modify the ingredients or settings. For example, I prefer the settings for whole-meal bread and used it even for white bread and I got better results.
Do note that there is a timer setting, hence you can put in all the ingredients, set the timer to ensure that the bread is ready when you wake up and leave it to the machine to work while you sleep. Get piping hot loaf of bread in the morning.
It seems there are packaged breadmaker flour-mixes available in Singapore in most supermarkets. They have a good variety of nuts, fruits and flavoured types. I have yet to see any here, but maybe i haven't been going around the right places? There are lots of breadmaker recipes in the internet, just do a search.

I've heard a lot of good things about the Amway breadmaker.
(No, I am not an Amway member).
did you guys know you can also bake bread with a rice cooker?
learnt about it in an Anime called "Yakitate Japan"
Ingredients:
350g of Bread Flour
21g of butter
21g of sugar
35cc of milk
180cc of water
5g of dry yeast
6.5g of salt
Instructions
1. Put flour into a the mixer bowl
2. Add sugar and salt
3. dissolve yeast with a little water
4. add the remaining water and milk
5. Mix ingredients.
6. kneed it till it becomes a dough
7. pick up the dough and add the butter
8. continue kneeding till it no longer feels sticky
9. make a round shape
10. Clean and dry the rice cooker bowl.
11. Put the dough in the rice cooker bowl for 60 minutes at room temperature to let it ferment.
12. When the dough rises to about double the size, use your fist, and drop it into the dough, removing all the extra gas. DO NOT grind the dough
13. then leave it there to ferment for another 60 minutes
14. Turn on the rice cooker.
15. After an hour, open the rice cooker lid and turn the dough.
16. Cook for another 60 minutes.
17. After 60 minutes, turn the dough again.
18. after turning it 3 times, you're done.

Hi, I just bought a kenwood breadmaker yesterday too. I bought this bread mix from cold storage at S.Parade. I tried this mix out and the bread turned out perfect!! The bread mix is italian herb from Krusteaz. It cost about $9.99 per box. I'm gonna look for and try out some more recepies.Originally Posted by kaytee
From what I've been reading about baking the perfect bread with the bread maker, the correct amount of ingredients is very important and also where you set up the breadmaker. Because the room temperature will effect the rise of the dough..i.e..in a draughty or warm kitchen....
