Donations of old clothes for charity

    Hullo everybody,

Was wondering whether anybody knows what happened to the charity group that collects newspaper, old clothes that used to hang around on weekends at the USJ11 park? We have some old clothers to donate but went looking around for them the past 2 weekends but couldn't see anybody manning the site.

We prefer not to donate the clothes to the recycle center box, because there seems to scavengers, so we rather give it to charity bodies directly.

Was wondering anybody got a suggestion?

    Many thanks in advance...

you can always donate the clothes to SPCA whom will have a jumble sale every few months to raise funds for the shelter.

as for newspapers, donate them to PAWS (off old subang airport road) as they really are in need of donations of such and also large plastic bags, baby feeding bottles, funds, pet food and toys and so on

the only hassle is that you have to drive there to give it to them, but go ahead and take a drive. who knows you might adopt a pet of your very own later
it's all good in the name of charity

There is a box located at The Centrepoint at Bandar Utama and it has been there for years. Just drop your old clothings in there, theose guys will redistribute for you.

For the same reason, I have selectively donated used clothes/books/toys to charitable organizations rather than dropping them into the general recycle bins. If you are referring to the family members at the collection point at USJ 11 park, they operate on a schedule and all donations go towards the education and medical fund for poor children.

Sometime I missed the boat and would send the items to their temple located along Jalan SS13/1K. This is the road leading to the traffic junction with the back entrance to The Summit USJ shopping complex/hotel ahead of you and Giant hypermart on your right. Immediately next to this temple is a signboard manufacturer with some space in front of its premises to park three or four cars. Look out for signboard that says "Signboard".
