Inserting Image

How does one insert an image in a thread/reply rather than an attachment. I see it being done but have absolutely no idea how to do it.

For an image to display on-screen, the image MUST be uploaded to a website somewhere. If you have your own website, put it there. If not, you can register at flickr or photbucket or a number of numerous public domain servers world-wide that allow you ro subscribe for free.

Once the picture is loaded on your website, copy the address of that picture (ie the URL) and in the forum, you add the image location to the posting.

Please note -
1) do not make links to pictures that do not belong to you
2) do not link to "bad" pictures - porn and such - you risk being banned on the spot
3) do not link to large pictures - these take time to download and not everyone is connected thru streamyx and some of our streamyx connections are also very slow - for that make sure that if you have a megapixel image, first reduce the size using the "resize" function in a graphic editor such as photshop or irfan-view. I will remove links to large images

Just so that I know. What is the maximum size that I can link to?
