    Snatch Thefts...

Err...over the Fathers' Day weekend...a dear neighbour dropby to inform Orchi that...a snatch thief was knocked off his motorbike into a nearby drain n died in the incident...by a car driven by his victim of whom...he had earlier snatched her handbag off while she was about to drive off in her car at the front of her home in the early evening on last Friday...

Ahem...a check with the nearby Balai Police has acknowledged the incident taking place at USJ 2...where a series of snatch thefts cases were previously reported...n no further comment was necessary...

If the victim had not given chase, the thief would have gone on to snatch more handbags, or worse, get someone seriously hurt and injured.

    Something not right here.
Do you thing that the car would have outsprinted the motorcycle n knock him in that short distance?
Perhaps this snatch thief speed n crashed into the drain on it's own while trying to get away.

Err...folks who often drive on trunk roads could surely remember seeing signboards put up by the authority...which state the numbers of accidents n fatality on that those particular stretches of roads...

Ahem...maybe it would be a better idea to erect similar signboards in the accesses of our residential areas...where signboards would state the numbers of incidents involving robberies n thefts...n the fatality rates of the snatch thieves n robbers themselves...

    Example:-

    *Amaran*
In June 2006 Total nos. of snatch theft accidents = 20
Total nos. of snatch thieves dead = 5

In June 2006 Total nos. of robbery n theft cases = 20
Total nos. of robbers n thieves shot dead = 5

In June 2006 Total nos. of car theft cases = 10
Total nos. of car thieves shot dead = 5

You think they will do that? It is a big hassle for them to update those information. Also do you think the local residents will allow them to do that? Even the dengue updates is facing a similar problem. There are poeple who do not want to paint a bad picture to the outside world the problem they are facing for fear that their property price will drop!!

i just came back from my bike shop in sunway. This morning at 8.30am, the owner's 60+yr old dad was robbed by 2 indian motorcyclists. They approached, asked for direction and immediately said "saya ada pisau, lu mahu mati?". They robbed him of rm10 plus a mobile phone...

Be very careful of motorcyclist stopping near you to ask for direction...unless he is on a big black or orange bike lah

Ahem...when there are crimes happening next to their homes...they turn a blind eye...shut their doors n close their windows...but when crime happens to them...they yelled bluddy murder...that nobody helps them...

Err...no wonders them dog gone criminals got bolder n bolder...

this case reminds me of a case happen in Kuching many many years back.

A snatch thief on the bike has just snatch the handbag of a lady who has just aligned from her car, right in front of her house gate.
Before the thief can sped off on his bike, she managed to rush foward to grab her handbag, and pulled back.
The thief fell down from the bike, head hit the iron gate, and died on the spot...

I wonder how a simple fall from bike and a knock on his head with helmet on can cost his life... act of god maybe?

    Snatch thief incident in USJ2

    Dear all,

The victim was a teacher who had just stopped outside her student's house. Her handbag was on the passenger seat (dear ladies, pls be reminded to leave your handbag under your seat while you're driving). The snatch thief threw a sandbrick and broke her side window, took her handbag and even turned back to give her a big smile. The teacher's car engine was still running and on the spur of the moment, just put on her gear and speed after the motorbike on USJ2/4. The snatch thief was trying to turn into the side lane which cars cannot pass because of the barriers. Apparently the snatch thief misjudged the turning point, hit the kerb and a big flower pot and got flung off his bike. I think he broke his neck. The teacher did not knock into him. She suffered cuts from the glass splinters on her arm.

Karma takes effect quicker than we thought. I got no mercy for such people. He is a strong and able person, he could've sell burgers somewhere and still make a decent or good living....

If i am a reporter -- The motorcyclist speed too fast and knock.......and killed....
If i am the police -- It was an accident, no one should be blame.
As a USJ resident -- the victim did the right thing.

Like what Sami Value said -- "It is the act of god" Sami first time you said the right things that applied to the right incident.
