Err...between 06:00 to 07:00am this morning at USJ 2/4N...there was an attempt made by car thieves...believed to be 2 Chinese males aged in their early 20s...
Err...they arrived on the scene twice...on a silver Toyota Harrier SUV bearing a false registration nos...which according to the investigating officer(I/O) was reported to be an earlier stolen vehicle...
A neighbour's maid had witnessed the attempt by the 2 car thieves...when they were trying to car jack a Toyota Camry belonging to the next door neighbour...
The thieves managed to break the rear side window(which had triggered the car alarm system to activate...but was later diactivated by the car thieves simply by 'short circuiting' the car alarm system thru the side signal indicator)...to gain access to the car...n had a master key to switch on the ignition...
But their attempt failed...because the owner had just recently installed an after market locking device fitted the the brake system of the car...which would disable the function of the car's transmission and electrical throttle system at the same time...
Ahem...so instead the car thieves made off with the owner's briefcase containing among other documents...an international passport belong to the owner himself...which was previously kept in the rear trunk boot...
So please be extra cautious about suspicious characters(normally 2 persons) lurking next to vehicles around the neighbourhood...
n for those that keep new cars in or outside of their homes...be adviced to seek better alternative to install additional security features into their precious vehicles...
n don't keep valuable items in their vehicles at all times...!

)...to gain access to the car...n had a master key to switch on the ignition...
