Just a question here. What's the purpose of owning so many cameras here ar? We still use 1 camera at a time. And each time we buy new camera, old ones are being left abandon. Not in use!

If we're a professional photographer then diff'lah .. but if we're not then why own so many arh? Very shiok to keep camera ar?

So far, I only have 2 camera. I bought an extra camera also b'cos I can't find my old camera .. dunno where it went missing.

Not listed are all the film cameras that firefly owned and still avaliable.

First camera was a hand me down rolliflex. Then daddy saw how everyone using nice camera and firefly still using the old rolli got firefly a Fuji 306.. schooling then... then added a telezoom...used many years. Then firefly saw many ppl using simple point and shoot 35mm... so firefly got a pentax. Not bad.Mrs was using it on all her holidays up till recently.

Then firefly got a Fujifilm Q1 then really cute 2Mp camera...used it for a a year then new and better cameras were launched (cheaper) got the Panasonic DMC-LC50 for the Mrs. pursuaded her to give up the expensive 35mm... Used it about 1 year most of her shots cam out blurr why...shakey hands!!!!... (Tried to dispose of it but no takers) then got her the DMC-LZ2 this is with OIS used about 1 year already... Oh that left out the Oly 8080... that's firefly's

Now all the kids have taken over the old cameras...in a way, it a good cheap hobby...only shots are shown on PC not printed

Hehe .. you sounded like each of your family members will have their own camera to use. Is like having own mobile phone.

Anyway, those days .. I only have 1 camera .. Oly .. old old camera. That also use by whole family. Have to manually change the films & each time after click on have to manually switch next. Used until spoilt then many years later only got myself own camera. Canon A80!

When you buy a camera for RM900, How much do you think you can sell it after 1 year? Since it's also a good hobby to cultivate, firefly decided to let the lil'ones have a hand in photography. In firefly's last family trip, it serves as a great instrument for keeping the lil'ones occupied. Here is an example of their works...
The youngest lil'firefly took this with a Q1

Well, firefly... your kids got future in photography....a photographer sees things, other people dont

My 5 y.o. daughter already picking up photography since last year. Got her a cheap 35mm Automatic Olympus camera and the results were pretty amazing. Every time after developing the photos, I will asked her why she take this and that... coz there is a reason why one take the photo.....

Cheap camera but expensive to maintain. Better get her a digital. You can see the results instantly. Anyway, digital is cheap now. Not necessary to get the top of the line ones. Or pass her your current P&S and get yourself dSLR.

Firefly, isn't this picture taken in a cave at one of Halong Bay island? I've seen a similar last year.

Unless the glass area is made of toughen scratch resistance glass, don't play play. Sand is abrasive.
