    New Pantai Expressway

Of late traffic congestion is worsening at the NPE in front of Sunway Pyramid . This particular section that has more then 4 lanes, at times had been reduced to one lane. Private and public vehicles park or stop at the side of NPE narrowing the NPE to a bottleneck. Is indiscriminate parking/stopping at this point allowed? Does the traffic rules applies here?

It is understandable if vechles need to stop to pick up passenger, however stopping for more then half an hour is too much. Now adays almost everybody has mobile phone and its not difficult to arrange a time for pick up. The worse is that these vehicles also park or stop at the place designated for public transport causing problems for public transportation. How than can public transport be efficient when they do not have a place to stop? How right it is to say First Class Facilities With Third Class Mentality? What causes this sort of behaviour among Malaysian?

What do you think NPE's going to do next there? Build another flyover?

You may be able to hope that Sunway will start enforcing the rules there...MPSJ has been getting on their case about underage patrons in the bars, so maybe they will start enforcing traffic rules properly...

As for a flyover, yeah, NPE and Sunway should build a direct ramp from the NPE into the Sunway Pyramid Parking lot, just beside the current ramp that comes from the parking lot out to the NPE (LDP bound). It would serve both phases of Sunway and get alot of pyramid-bound traffic out of the LDP-NPE interchange.

I would also build a pedestrian walkway between the two ramps, to encourage pedestrians to cross the NPE right in front of Sunway, and construct space for 4 bus stops underneath the ramp.

That way the metrobuses wouldnt wait beside the existing overhead bridge, interfering with traffic going to LDP and Sunway Mentari.

As for the waiting area in front of Sunway, that is a whole other story. I would kick the taxis and cars out, first of all, and set up proper bus stops.

The main thing needed there is permanent enforcement through a police presence, especially a police post.

as per normal in bolihland..all sorts of law enacted..but no strict enforcement.... since no 'toll' available for enforcers,, better to stay clear n close 1 eye or better both eyes .They rather go enforce other matters where 'toll' can possibly be collected.. The jam in front of sunway pyramid is ridiculous for an expressway, yet the people with authority n\are doing nothing concrete abt it

blame those drivers who park there. parking RM 1 per entry also can't pay. and blame the police and mpsj and npe for not taking any action on these fellas.

wait a sec. free parking at carrefour subang also malas to use. afraid to burn too much fuel to turun naik the ramps there ah?

Isn't Sunway under the jurisdiction of MPPJ? Those fellas seems to be under a lot of fire of late. And I'm sure that they can pull some ordinance out that says you don't have a right to know what they're suppose to be doing.

Yeah, MPSJ is doing the enforcement at Sunway Pyramid.

Hmmm...maybe better to organize all of Bandar Sunway under one jurisdiction, MPPJ or MPSJ.

Sunway Resort is part of PJS9. The limit of PJS is the river/stream where the 3C complex is...when you cross the stream you are moving to SS13 and SS12.

So 3C is under MPSJ jurisdiction. I guess that 2/3 of the building is in Bandar Sunway (PJS9) while the other 1/3 is in Subang Jaya (SS13).

I figure that there is confusion regarding the boundary. MPPJ or MPSJ? The result chaotic traffic because neither wants to enforce the law. If neither of them know the boundary under their jurusdiction than who is going to see to the traffic congestion and bottle neck. At least the traffic police do something about it. Not unless they too operate like MPPJ and MPSJ. It is a very sad scenario after all that had been said about changing the mentality of public servants. Looks like they are the public masters and not the public servants. That reminds of the story about Robin Hood and the Sheriff of Nottingham (i.e. MPPJ/MPSJ) who was appointed by King John. Over taxing the people but provide no services. I think its about time our country have local government election in order to provide an impetus to public servant's mentality change whereby the people shall decide on their key performance index in all area of services. If performance is not up to par the local people has a say in a democratic way.

Wait until the puasa month then it will be worse. I remember just stuck infront of Sunway just trying to cross to my house in SS18. It's really bad because some Malaysian just refuse to pay RM1.00 and park their car properly and the authority who just could not care less about implementing the rules...

No need to go so far in distance nor so far back in time. Today, MPPJ is doing exactly that. From the news, we read what Derek Fernandez and the PJ folks are exposing their daylight robbery. They have not increase their services and I don't think they are even providing the basic services and yet they want to increase their assessment.
