Yes, it is a hostel concept. Temporary shelter. We do not intend to provide orphanage or baby for adoption.

We have volunteers to look out for the girls & also we provide free meals cooked by volunteers during confinement period.

We have volunteer counsellors before & after the delivery of the baby.

The location of this shelter need to be changed from time to time. To avoid any un-necessary conflicts.

We have volunteers to baby-sit the newborn babies during a few hours/day.

We would like to reach out to teenage girls/unwed young adults.
We would like to reach out to abuse wifes - husbands who hit/assult the pregnant wife.
We would like to reach out to abandon women that are pregnant.

Life can be very helpless and lonely when you are pregnant without the support of your family or partner. We are just here to temporary ease the headache.

Yes, there is this abortion pill called RU486 which is only available legally in Europe, but need to be prescribed by a doctor. Aparrently this has been available for over 10 years, but many countries blocked the license for fear of been misused.

This drug is safer than the conventional abortion method and are less traumatic for many first timers. It's also very powerful and effective for 1st trimester.

recently my girlfren's period is late. if there is any accident we usuali use postinor2. but very seldom(less than 5). she usuali gets her period a day or 2 after taking postinor2. the last time around march she took postinor2 and the priod came. then she has not gotten any period since. dat was earli march.. we both got worried and bought a pregnancy kit. test result negative. then we had accident again and she took postinor2 again.. this time however her period did not come. we plan to test with the pregnancy kit again. how accurate is those pregnancy kit? i cant remember the brand i bought.but its about rm20. shud i bring her to a gynae instead? if i should, where? any idea how much it would cost?

we are both scared and stressed because of this as our final exams are coming soon. then we will both be studying overseas and is it posible to go study overseas, unmarried and pregnant? i believe we need to do a full body check up before leaving overseas to study.

For those who are stress over unprepare pregnancy, I really wish if you couples could find a best solution for yourself and the new life. But again, this could be rather difficult as both are never prepare to be mother and father.

Without thinking too much I find out this pages is full of private hospital contact number and willing to share with those who need them. (admin note - link removed)
I called them this afternoon and below is just some information that I gather.

For those who is above 18, you don't need a guardian to sign but just prepare to fast past mid night, no food and drink, be there at 8:30, to see Dr Roopi personally as he would give further advise. Please have someone to escort "her" after the abortion.

The minimum charges is RM350.

For further enquiry pls check with the doctor verbally.

The answer to your main question.

Yes, yes, yes, it is possible to be unmarried, pregnant & still go & study overseas.

I have checked for you and found that if you & gf are under the Australia programme, you will only be going there in Feb 2008 ? By that time, your baby would have been born.

Since both of you are highly stressed, it is best to go & check with the gyne at SJMC or Sunway Hospital or Assunta Hospital as soon as possible to clear / confirm your doubts.

If your gf has a College Scholarship, there is nothing written in the letter of offer- regarding pregnancy. As long as you study hard, go for all your exam with flying colour - ( all A's I mean), there is nothing stopping both of you with your journey to get a good degree.

The only set back is when you are pregnant, your hormone changes. You will feel sick, nausea, tired, tempermental & it is difficult to concentrate in class. It will also be embarassing to be going to college with a big tummy when the fashion today is so low cut & belly showing.

The next issue is who is going to take care of your baby when both of your are studying in Australia. It has definately to be your parents or your grandparent who will be the best baby sitter. If all this fail, please PM me so that we can sort out some ways to help you.

Being in love is not a crime. But killing an innocent baby that you have created is a serious crime.

It would have some effect on the child but may not necessarily be negative. A child needs lots of love and attention and the right guidance in growing up. If you can provide them, you will be a whole lot better than those kids who have both parents but have no time for them.
