Agree with jose. it's easier to just look at one place.

I have to say I agree with Jose on this point : "Many of the not-so-serious threads are ice-breakers and members do get along fine with each other."

Don't worry about the "lose face" problem - me, I got thick skin like the Malaysian rhino.
As for "all in one place" to ease search - don't you guys learn to click on "new posts" in the blue bar above? I click on that and I get a list of new postings regardless which sub-forum it may be located. Hiyah, all this high-tech applications built into this forum engine and you people just visit the main forum area only meh?
Why don't you people give a hand in identifying which threads should be lepak and which should stay in the main forum?
I will tell you later why I started this lepak thing. Aisehman, you think I like to send people to the plantation issit?![]()
It will be easier and faster to determine which threads should stay in the main forum. You wanna bet?Originally Posted by kwchang

The first three threads stay constant. I have given you the list (2 lists) in my earlier posts. Now don't be lazy and go look so that I do not have to re-post.
Don't say "the first 3" becoz the listing is dynamic. The sequence changes depending on which one gets a new post.
I also suggest that since community-related issues is the point of contention, all threads on Singapore and other countries should be removed.
Also thread on Monorail in Penang. What has it got to do with the USJ Community apart from the fact that Firefly may want to use it in the future since he gets sea sick using the ferry?

Please remove my thread Killers at Large because it has nothing to do with USJ Community. The killings happened elsewhere.

Maybe it is like the ex-Manchester United footballer's (can't remember his name right now) problems with obsessive compulsive disorder where he needs to put things in order and in perfect alignment... I had always felt that the main forum was a bit too messy for comfort.
The need to put stuff into sub-forums is to facilitate categorisation of themes so that a new-comer may be able to look into the right groups for his topic of choice. It also helps to keep the lists small (as compared to the huge list in the main forum) so that it is easier to find threads based on subject.
Maybe I should rename "idle-chatter" to "small-talk" since some people feel marginalised eh? However, "lepak korner" will remain the sub-forum unless there is a better name ... Any suggestions?
It really doesn't matter to us (me at least) what sort of disorders you may have. But may I ask why is it that you have only moved 6 threads since you created the sub-forum? Many so-called idle chat threads are still here. Are you going to move them today? By you delaying it, it seems you are waiting for the 6 threads in the sub-forum to die a natural death. Since you have already created the sub-forum and have disagreed with us and maintained that idle and chat threads should be moved, then you should move them now and not wait.
Is this not a reasonable request? Or perhaps you don't think so?
1. Although you are not obliged to, why don't you tell us the reasons now? Otherwise it is akin to my primary school teacher who asked me to extend out my hand and whacked me with the ruler and then she told me that she would tell me what I did wrong later.Originally Posted by kwchang
2. Sent people to plantation (issit?). You don't want to know what I really think, believe me.

It was pretty much the same when the usual monthly TT gang went for theirs every first Friday. What I'm trying to say is, the cupids have brought life and fun into the forum. Small talks or big talks (some are gibberish anyway) does not matter. As long as there are participations, and it is read and accepted by many. By the way, I always feel small, so small talk is good for me.
