    World Cup 2006 Germany

My bet is on the samba-dancers to keep the cup. These guys are really showing their talents and I can't wait to watch their opening game, whoever their opponent is.

The young dancers, Adriano and Rubinho are going to complement well with the rest of their team and this will be a real bonus for these guys with a retainer of 70% of the old team. The coconut-scrapping-teeth fellow is also in form so far and hope he maintains his form in time for the cup.

As for the EPL crazed fans betting on England, I guess Sven is going to give one last 'screw' and 'screw' the English, as they aptly put it, ROYALLY!! I know some foolish blokes who bet on England the last world cup when they played against a very strong Brazillian team and lost thousands!!

    Viva! Viva! Viva Las Vegas!!!!!!!!

whether the Portugese Chicken Backside leaves or not, it makes no difference to the kind of perception people have on him. The same goes for the fans of Chelsea who suddenly appeared out of no where in the past 2 years.

In CL, my money is on Barca or AC Milan.

In WC, my money is on Germany(home ground advantage) or England(it's about time they win something).

For the World Cup, I sensed that the Argentinians this time may tip the balance in their favor. If u noticed, for the past few years, the Argies had assembled a team to neutralise the flair play of the samba kings. The Copa America gave us some indication on the success of that strategy and to a certain degree, it did so. But they still lack a prolific goalscorer and Crespo, imo, does not exactly fit the bill. We'll see, in June. Strong favorites along with Brazil, with England as the pretenders to the title. The dark horse? Ahhh, this one, it has always been Ruud and co.

I'd say the next England manager would remain status quo for the time being with McLaren taking over and probably Curbs as his understudy for a year or so before he takes over fully. The FA sees Curbs as the likely candidate but his inexperience is witholding him frm a straight walk into the job.

Merseyside derby MOTW review - LIV vs EVE

Hah. This 203rd Merseyside derby tie is one of the hottest local derby contested in the EPL every season.

And sure enuf, the fireworks flew when the whistle blew for 'Go'. The Red fans were intimidating and vociferous. Tackles were vicious, fast and furious. And the ref's hands were kept busy and whistle happy all nite long. Gerrard was the first one to go 18 min into the game when he was yellow carded a second time for a 2-footed challenge. The Reds still dominated the game after that with 3 goals scored, quite surprisingly with 10 man. Phil Neville gifted an own goal before the break, Garcia added another soon after the break before Cahill pulled one back for the visitors. And when Kewell scored a scorcher of a goal, that all but killed the game for Everton. Van de Merde got a straight red just 5 min after coming on as a sub. All in all, 10 yellows and 2 reds were handed out by ref Phil Dowd, known as a card happy ref in the EPL.

With the quality that the Reds coach, Rafa Benitez, has in his team, it was difficult for Everton to match them on the pitch. Even when Everton was hitting some form lately, it was clear that they were outplayed that nite by the Reds. And it also proved to their detractors that the Reds is not a one man team centred ard their talismanic captain, Steven Gerrard. Still, the team is work in progress for Benitez to assemble and whip a solid team up to challenge for local and European honors in years to come. But for now, the red part of the city holds the bragging rights.

I watch Beach Volleyball (females), Female Mud wrestling and occasionally, the uncensored clothes ripping TV wrestling if you can associate them as Sports. Forget about the Olympics belakang mari type of wrestling - very obsence and might teach our youngsters wrong values. Who do you think will be the new WCW champion?

American football (haven't a clue how the points are counted) and Ice Hockey...........not from the sports angle but for all the violence that we don't get to see on national TVs anymore.
Some people are just average, others are just mean.

Jokes aside. I believe Jose Mourinho is on his way out. Chelsea wants a more wholesome and kinder image which would apply to a much wider market and the manager has not been too famous in that direction. However, it does not take away the fact that he is a good football manager.
